Yeti Clutch vibration

Featured Replies

Hi All

Have owned my white 140 4x4 since june this year.

I bought it as an ex-demo model with 6k on the clock and after acouple of weeks noticed that the clutch had a horrible vibration through it, actually causing my foot to tingle after a spate of stop start driving.

I left it for a couple of months, went on holiday and reported it to the dealer, at first they said there was not a problem and after a more sensible technician test drive they decided to investigate and it resulted in them fitting a new clutch assembly.

After a week of experiencing the new Seat Mii I collected my car and it seemed better.

Lo and behold the vibration is back big time.

I returned to the dealer and tested another similar car and experienced the same vibration.

Having spoken with the salesmanager he informed me that they are all the same.

I have owned Fabia Vrs's, Octavia Scout and the wife has an Octavia Vrs, all diesel, and we have not experienced the vibration as bad as this.

It is spoiling the car.

Before i write to Skoda to Complain is was wondering if any other Yeti owner has experienced this and if so is there a cure

Answer is a big NO. nobody has reported anything like that. In fact, I think this is a wind up. What dealer did you go to? I would report the manager to Skoda, he doesn't know what he's talking about.

Also why would you leave it a couple of months before reporting a " horrible vibration "

I have a 2010 140 4X4 with no clutch vibration at all. Does a new clutch assembly include a new flywheel ?

And another 10 reg 140 4x4 owner without this "problem" and not noticed anything like it in the nearly 50k miles now on the clock.

Biker, which dealer?

Dealer is White Dove in Cardiff.

Having spoken with the salesmanager he informed me that they are all the same.

The sales manager is talking out of his proverbial.

As geordiebroon hinted, it might be a DMF problem. Not that there is any specific history of this in Yetis (to date, as far as I am aware) but by their very nature they are more vulnerable to failure than a solid flywheel.

Biker,

To put it bluntly, the "service" manager at Black Pigeon is talking through his anal orifice. I would suggest you ring Sinclairs in Swansea, or even the dealers in Taffs Well or Newport and get them to look at it. From the reviews on this forum Swansea get the best reports.

Thanks for the info. Will go to another dealer.

Car is good otherwise, just a little annoying and when you know a little irritating problem is there it spoils the enjoyment.

40k on mine and earlier this year I had a vibration at low revs, made worse when the clutch was depressed.

Alex lawrie skoda in liverpool spotted it straight away, it was the dual mass flywheel.

the springs get weak and cause vibration.it was replaced under warranty and all is now fine.

may not be your problem but worth a check.
