Well, I'll be up for that. Best place to meet is Thirsk, then go to Pickering and run over to Whitby along the A169 road. Awesome route, then come back via the Teeside route on either the A171 or A174

It was nice to meet old and new faces today. Shame there wasn't more, but still. Thanks Marty for organising it. That Ice cream was gorgeous. If I'm ever in that area again, I'll have to stop there.

I took my camera, but didn't use it due to us all being split up where we parked.

Coming from the South then towards Thirsk I'd go via Coxwold, Yearsley, Hovingham, Nunnington, behind Wombleton to Kirkbymoorside, lovely quiet and very scenic B roads abound, then from Pickering via the old Roman Road north to Grosmont and Whitby. Nice driving too :) But then again, not if your a speed freak.

Just got back in. Was a good meet nice to meet a new face. And meet up with old faces. If a run to whitby could be organised id be up for it.

Savdavrs if u want any help with the vrs ill try my best to give a helpin hand matey. Just drop me a pm

As this is the North East section, most of us are from Teesside or surrounding areas, not down south.

In the last few years we have had a few runs around the Moors. Normally we start at Roseberry Topping, drive to Helmsley, (on the Yorkshire TT road), then Blakey Ridge, stopping at The Lion Inn for lunch, after that, it varies, we've finished at Goathland on a few occasions.

Lemon tops or Sugetts Ices are very nice but you don't have a choice of flavours.

Lickerty Split is up in Seaham. http://www.lickety-split.co.uk/

ah i see , bit of a run out that, maybe next time!
