Octavia VRS Blackline

Featured Replies

Methinks someone should start a Blackline register ASAP........

Absolutely no regrets moving away from VW Passat. Makes me smile that there are so many lemmings out there (including BMW and Audi drivers) that care about image and brand so much that are willing to pay several thousands more. Let's keep it a secret ;)

I totally agree. This is my third Skoda... I was planning of going the Audi A4 route for my next car after my 07 Octavia Elegance but then when my coworker told me about the Blackline and I checked the great pricing and offers, there was no way I was going to spend another £10K plus for an Audi.

I have the part number for rocking horse **** if you need it, though I have my suspicions about the 500 as no numbers were given with each car which they've done before!

I was thinking the same thing when I got mine, which is why I asked in another post how exactly (besides looking at the V5C) do we know it's a Blackline and not just a vRS the dealer managed to get the options on? Either way, I love my new car... the only beef I have (after coming to grips with copying my music to a microSD card instead of playing straight from my phone digitally without a retrofit) is that the satnav is mediocre.

Yes agree about the sat nav, not the best but better IMHO than messing about with an aftermarket one. I had the same satnav on my 1.4 se plus and got used to it and it's not let me down. 1 thing I found is you can alter the volume with gues what ....the volume knob for the stereo- just turn it up or down while the young lady is speaking....I went through a million levels in the menu until I found this out by accident.

Yes, that's one feature I definitely like. On my recent trip to/from Gatwick, I kept both on: my TomTom Live 120 because it has the speed camera alerts & IMO does the traffic bit much better but has poor volume when I'm driving and listening to music whilst the built-in satnav volume is great and lowers the music slightly when there's an announcement.

Ha, being directed by 2 ladies at the same time eh. Must have been some journey!

It was worth every minute. :-D

Hi, I've recently received my Blackline estate and although I really like it I do agree with the comments above. I have one issue that I'm in discussion with the dealer about - the quality of some areas of seat leather. Some sections were not stretched properly before stitching in place and are therefore rippled. Has anyone seen this on their Blackline? Also, does anyone know what mudflaps fit the blackline (F+R)?

There's already a long thread in the octy II section on flaps. Basically there are f & r part nos 600001 and 600002 from memory and these are both square profile at the bottom also available are the round OE ones for the rear that are fitted as standard to other models. The front go straight on, the rears are a bit fiddly but fit is close enough. Price for the set of the square ones £46, or £25 per pair. EO round for rear adout £13 a set. No round ones available for the front as no model has fronts as standard. My leather's not brilliant but not bad enough to complain about

Hi both me and my dad have taken delivery of our blacklines.

hi have bought a blackline, picked it up on 28 sept done 3500 miles average comsumption 48.4 which i think is ok car is great , love it

anyone any ideas on this thanks

Hi all

Had my Blackline for about 4 weeks now. I think it's awesome, although my last car was a 10 year old Ford Fiesta! Seriously though, well happy with it. Great MPG combined with great acceleration (just ask the Mazda RX-8 which got left behind when joining the M6 earlier today - childish I know...!)

Three gripes... Only a single CD player, no electric folding mirrors and no bluetooth to connect my phone too. Apart from that, brilliant car.

Use the SD card slot for your music- get a 32 gig card and you'll have all the music you'll ever need without messing about with silver discs-that's so last year. Agee mirors would be good but what can we expect considering what we paid :giggle: :giggle:

Appartently you can fit bluetooth retro- search the treads for more info on how, I don't need it as I've got no mates so no one calls me !
