As a next step after deleting the EGR valve to aid clean air into the engine im wanting to fit an catch tank to stop any oily vapours re-entering the engine.

whats the best WAY of doing this?

i was thinking of blocking/bunging the turbo compressor hose where the cam cover hose fits to the compressor hose, and then routing the cam cover hose to a catch tank.! but are there any other hoses that i would need to encorporate into this mod.?

does anyone also have any pictures showing a catch tank breather setup on there superb.?

i take it nobody has ever done this on a superb? :wonder:

im also thinking when the egr is deleted/removed can we also delete/remove the N18 and N239 solenoid valves?, leaving only the N75!

I dont suppose anyone has an engine picture showing the location of the N18, N239 AND N75 Valves?

19mm Heater hose pipe off the crankcase, over the back of the block, follow the exhaust underneath the car and vent to atmosphere.

Block off air inlet end with a drinks bottle cap or machined aluminium bung. Job Done

also has nobody removed the pcv valve that fitted to the rocker cover? or is there no need?

i totally forgot about doing this until the other day, ive got one of these small catch cans which i think are made from air compressor filters - http://oilcatchtank.com/

id still like to ask if anyone has removed or modded the pcv valve too as im sure ive read that this valve can fail..?

Rajsta, I've seen you on here having issues and problems after spending a fortune on your car. Then you've had to spend even more to remedy those problems. I haven't posted back to many of your topics because I haven't had much to say that I thought would help. You seem reasonably knowledgeable and experienced. So my question is, why are you still spending money on a car you've already decided to get rid of in 12 months? Actually, why did you decide to customise it in the first place?

I can understand someone customising their own personal vehicle to their liking, but it's a taxi. A works vehicle, there to make money. A works vehicle is purely about profitability. The mods you've done don't make it a better taxi, or mean you can charge more. From a business point of view your car has no more capability than the next taxi. Please understand I'm not slating you, or your car here, really i'm not. I just don't understand why. Do yourself a favour man, leave it be and save your cash.

I know where you fellas are coming from, but for me the car is my personal car aswell as being a taxi, yes the mods ive done doesnt turn the car into a super machine but it is purely preference.

well ok, the one thing i wanted to do was wheels and suspension yes but the rest i wasnt expecting at all.

I try to keep faith in this car, i think that maybe my problem. its just the car is so nice that i want to treat it right... but the problem is it doesnt want to seem to return the favor.

my mates say i complain about small niggly things, maybe its true or maybe if got a keen ear for oncoming problems aye ?!?

But hey ive replaced that many things now i dont think i'll be selling it when it expires as a taxi, to me its too good to get rid, the car has got alot more life in it,

sooo anyway im wanting to fit this oil catch can obviously to stop the oily residue making its way into the boost circuit, but im thinking is it possible to remove or hollow out the pcv valve as from what i can remember it looks sort of built into the rocker cover.
