Hi,

Just thought I'd share this. I replaced the thermostat on my Felicia 1.3 MPi a few months ago (tabs on holder broken), but the temperature gauge would still not rise above 70. I checked on Briskoda and, other posts suggested that the temperature should be higher. I thought it must be the temperature sensor, so I ordered a replacement. When I went to remove the old sensor, I noticed that it was in a pocket of air. I topped up the coolant and put the sensor back in, and hey presto, the temperature gauge went up to mid-way. When I had replaced the thermostat I had drained and replaced the coolant, and did not remove the temperature sensor to bleed the air from the system. So the temperature sensor had been reading the air temperature above the coolant, not the coolant temperature.

I have noticed a few posts where people have a low temperature on the gauge, and thought I would share my experience as a possible cause.

Bob
