Hello! Looking to get an Octy vRS

Featured Replies

Hi,

I'm a student at Exeter uni at the moment, and will be 21 in september. My parents have kindly agreed to subsidise me for a Octavia vRS with me working through the summer coming up and using previous savings.

2 questions though:

1. How bigs the boot and do the seats fold flat? (I need to be able to get a drumkit in it lol)

2. Dealers in the South east (where I live),anyone know what they're like? I went to the skoda website and using the local dealer locater found some, but they all seem to be small family run garage licensed to sell skodas and thats about it, this common? I went to Garland Motors and it was tiny, 1 garage for servicing and it was less than inviting. Whats the dealer network like with skodas? Service from them?

Thanks guys,

If this is the wrong place to ask questions, sorry, I'm new!

Q.1 - Big. Yes. No problem.

Q.2 - SE Dealers? Not sure...but generally the dealer network is pretty good. Have a look through the Dealer Reviews here

Welcome to one of the friendliest forums around, and congratulations on a good choice of car!

Hello and welcome :wavey:

The boot is huge but somewhat impeded by bracing struts that support the back seats (the seats fold flat) - best thing to do is go and look at one if you can.

Dealers seem to vary quite a lot - I've always been pleased with mine. I think most are smallish family run businesses and to be honest I think this gives them the edge when it comes to customer service.

Good luck in your search !

thanks!

I was told the nearest vRS demonstrators in winchester, which is a shame because theres only new octavias at the other showrooms.

I'll have a look at the dealer reviews, thanks.

Welcome to Briskoda. I think the Winchester dealer is highly thought of by some members.

Hello and Welcome:D

if you havent' driven one buy the 18th of June you should try and make your way along to the Track Day in June and have some passenger rides.

yeah, I might try and do that, would be cool.

I'm going to try and get to the winchester dealers next time I go home, its on the way.

Lucky U, a subsidised octy vRS.

From past experience the boot will completely swallow a standard drum kit, even if you have a few extra symbols and an extra drum, will still swallow no problem.

Just beware, Dont forget its in the boot when you go quickly round corners :)

Boot is HUGE - but make sure you use the cargo net otherwise your kit will be all over the place when you boot it :D:D:D

Great choice of car! Boot is massive :D

Not wishing to put a dampener on things but get a few insurance quotes before buying one

Hope it works out ok!
