DIY LED Puddle Lights How TO

Featured Replies

Where does the 4/5th brake light come from? Is it just a feed taken over the fog lights? (Just curious!)

Ah that sucks. Fancied a few bits doing and was going to see if I could hire you and your services.

Funny enough I get a lot of request like that LOL, only problem is I struggle to find time to do work on my own car let alone anybody else's (Busy boy see !)

Man up Matt! Lol.

Get the soldering iron out and get on eBay!

+1 thats why I did the write up it very easy mod to do, so most people should be able to do it.

Basically Yes, but you also need some diodes to stop the current flowing back from the fog lights to the brake light otherwise when you put your fog lights on your brake lights will come on as well !!

Looks good and I like other drivers to clearly see the car, since then have gone a little bit mad with the rear lights as it progressed to this

If you want any more info let me know

Cheers

Cheers Mattie lol.

I tried to use a soldering iron and ended up with two holes in my hand haha. And I still haven't fixed the drivers interior locking LED.

Thanks :) Was just curious, that was all (been a while since I had my Fabia so forgotten stuff!). Diodes make sense otherwise turning on the fog lights would pretty much remove any brake lights except the high level one I guess.

Did the same on my BMW, although that's just a software change. The more brake lights the better IMO! (As long as they're left off in traffic.)

Looking at that video, have you put and extra indicator bulb in? I like that!

I like the videos Korban! Home coming lights with the sides & fogs - do you sell a kit for that?

I want your rear light set up. Except the flashing centre light, not my thing :p

You would even have the middle brake light coming on without the diodes as they are all on the same circuit.

I agree about brake lights being left on in traffic, especially some of the new Audi's they are blinding B) and also why I spent ages modifying them to get the right amount of light output from them.

Yes it is an extra indicator bulb but they are all LEDs, have spent about a year and a half working on them and they are still not finished !!

Only for the coming home lights mate

As above, all LEDs and has taken a year and a half to do, also has cost me well over £100 in different types of LEDs

Like flashing red ones not fussed on flashing blue ones behind me though !!!!!

Can I ask how much the home coming kit is? :) not something I'm looking to purchase right now as I want some Piper products on my car but I'll add the lights to the short list I have left :)
