No, I didn't post the exact price paid.

I paid full asking price. Which was about 1500 quid under typical prices

for age and condition. This was largely down to the front bumper needing a respray

after someone jetwashed the stonechips too closely making them 10x worse.

If you zoom in on the pics I've already posted you can clearly see the damage.

I used some savings, and the proceeds of the sales of both my Fabia and MX5.

Bumper has been done now and looks brand new again, I have had a blackline

grille fitted to do away with all the chrome trim on the original one which also had grey

slatting and an S3 badge. The blackline grille has black slats, black painted surround

and no other badging other than the Audi rings. I also swapped out the fog surrounds

for plain black ones again to do away with the chrome rings on the original ones.

And in the interests of nostalgia (and because I think it looks cool) I've also yellowed the

fogs while I am at it. All reversible mods as per my usual style. Inside I've fitted an S3

footplate on the dead pedal (Slashing both thumbs in the process of refitting it)

I modded it to have coloured inlays like the one on my Fabia had.

All the interior lighting except the glovebox and boot light has been replaced with LED

panels and I have fitted replacement error free LED modules above the rear numberplate.

Next up over the next few months is a new private plate, 2 new tyres for the rear, cruise control,

and an APR remap.

  • Only had time today for a quick clean in the end. But here she is Can't wait to get the bumper/grille/fogs sorted. :p

  • Only a mobile phone pic but here you go.

  • Well I hope you lot are satisfied, I've just been outside in the rain to get these for you all. For contrast I've re posted the front view already on here to show the differences easier. Before, wi

PICS!!!

I wasn't really prying Gary, just wondered what they go for.

At the end of the day most of us have cars we'd really like to have, even a dream car.

If you can get one without living on bread and water then it's all you can ask for.

Life's too short. :)

It's a car with plenty of potential and being Quattro can put the power down. Been looking at them most of the day. Blue is nice but I'd have to go 5 door purely because I often carry passengers

The sportback has the most funky 2 piece neon tail lights,

The ones on mine look dated in comparison.

I live in envy but had to go with a 3 door, my first car was a 3 door and I've not had one since.

So what power is yours standard and what's it like on petrol? Do you run it on standard stuff or use super unleaded?

Your plans are identical to what mine would/will be. Nice, subtle & OEM+. This kinda car you dont need to shout about being quick. Your Fabia was one of my favourites (even pinching some of your ideas for mine), I suspect your S3 will be the same.

Now go and get some bloody pictures!

265bhp standard. 258lb-ft torque at 5000rpm

Decent mpg is do able if you change up early but

as low as single figures if you spank it. Limited to 155mph

As far as I know you can ONLY use super and you get a loss of

performance if you don't. I don't concern myself with mpg or fuel price

if I'm honest. Driving my car is a treat as I still do far more mileage in

my Kangoo with the huge boost leak (50mph flat out LOL )

300-310 with stage 1 map nearly 300lb-ft torque, that's my next

step with mine.

More than I thought, I was thinking 235bhp standard. :)

Yes, that'll shift.

Same as the Golf R then. Only asked because my mind went blank. Yeah that should be pretty nippy. Isn't stage 3 nudging 400bhp?

420bhp on Super Unleaded.

With a kerbweight of aprox 1,450kg, that's still around 290bhp per tonne. Nice. :)

S3's are lovely cars, one of the options that I looked at in truth. I'd have to go for the five door also due to it being more flexible but I rate the look of them - stage 1 remap would be very nice with the haldex 4wd on these. :-)

I'm not going to lie... I'm still sat here pressing F5 waiting for pictures.

HOW MUCH LONGER? :rofl::happy:

<< presses F5

Still no pictures; your turn...

What does F5 do?

I'll take some tomorrow, it's dirty after a 300 mile round trip today

in the wet but if it will keep you guys happy...

lovin it dude but shame you feel the need to de-badge it to keep it safe :(

Suppose it will have its benefit though :)

Looks immense!! Iove it.

I would've kept the front S3 badge though

It's not really for theft reasons, more for on the road stealth ;)

Hence the above :D
