Plans look good.

You can have my LCR splitter bud. Have a look at the next meet, it has a few scrapes but it's yours if you want it.

If Joe doesn't take the splitter, my missus will for her new car

Edit.... let me check my info about it fitting first!

So this evening i went at bought my new seats, very happy with them as they are immaculate with no wear on the bolsters or rips anywhere the leather is still really tight (except the obvious ass area) they are 13 years old but you could never tell in my opinion.

Yer a3 8l charlie, was a optional extra and not many about. The photo doesn't do them any justice though the rear side supports are huge i didnt think they would feel any difference to the vrs seats but they truly do hug you.

Cheers lloyd.

What a bargain and will look so good. Makes me feel like a mug paying all that money to Seat Surgeons

Yes but you wont want to rip your hair out trying to bodge your seats in jay :D plus yours are nicer ;)

Well yeah there is that, but still, those above do look the business B)

Hopefully get the fronts in next weekend and i got the week off before christmas to have a good look at the rears so should hopefully be in for the next welsh meet up.

Jealous, they look really good!

Looks good Joe. Should really set the car off now. When you planning on having the fron t bumper ready for fitment?

Cheers guys.

Keechy its all ready so should get some paint in the new year, want it painted as late as possible and as close to ultimate dubs as i can as don't fancy fresh paint over winter with the gritters etc.

Those seats look great buddy! If you need a hand fitting them, just hit me up ;).

Right started stripping my seats like the recaro and leon guides but the hinge looks completely on the front seats look completey different so unsure if they will fit the fabia bases now :s looks like its going to be a cut and weld job.

Drill holes in floor pan, bolt new seats in. Job done.

The mk4 platform seats dont use that set up unfortunately :( they sort of hook in at the rear, its a wierd set up.

Remove the golf runners

Use the fabia runners on the mk4 bases

If the widths are different fabricate brackets using some steel lengths.

Easier with a welder but i did mine by drilling + bolting + they have stayed secure :)

They dont have runners either side like the fabia. I got a couple of ideas but i need to get my passenger seat out and have a better comparison.

This is mk4 golf platform runners.

Ah ye i remember now :D the front bit is secured by a single 10mm nut on a 5mm allen key bolt..

Maybe u wud be better off using the Fabia bases..

Cant see there being any difference in foam width

Yer thats what I was planning mate but I think the hinge is different looking at it to put the upper part of the seat onto the fabia. Aslo I cant see for the life of me how to get the lower part off the base though lol.

I was thinking of undertaking something like this with Recaros or similar now looking at that pic of the base of them seats I'll wait till some come up for sale. Looks complicated haha!
