I prefer this I think

Matt said to me about colour coding them but I think if it was a bright yellow it could work but my faded yellow will look abit dull. If someone could photoshop the the same colour I would appreciate it.

Just a quick one...

Why thankyou, I strangely like the yellow centres, my car is abit duller in the flesh though that's what worries me, it always photos a deeper yellow.

Yellow centre are a win for me

Yer had a little play, I was messing about with my mate in his 330d mapped BMW (killed me) and he come up behind, couldn't pull on him and he couldn't gain. That a diesel too?

Front end looks pretty awesome

I say yellow colour coded centres

Yellow centres would look awesome I reckon.

Your car makes me want a smooth bumper and colour coded door handles even more now!

Looking sweet mate

Is say gold centres joe. Yellow would be too much in my opinion.

Either way in sure she will look good once the new boots are fitted.

So haven't done much on the bbs due to having 8 stubborn bolts and a stubborn centre. Decided to split the others to see if there was going to be any more problems so I could tackle them together but luckily the others flew apart with ease. So gave them a quick scrub to get some grime off them.

20140313_174105-1_zpstxsah1wm.jpg

So yesterday the old man came down with a heat gun and we started on the bolts, quick blast of heat on the metal around them and they came out with a few swift whacks on a dolly with a big ass lump hammer. Then the centre, this was in there good and proper so heated the rim around it and smashed the crap out of it with a very large rubber mallet.....not even a micron of movement. The old man dug a nice hefty bit of wood out and went to work on it hitting the wood with the lump hammer giving it his all and his 30+ years of engineering (hitting stuff with big hammers) working it evenly around I finally seen the one edge drop slightly and a few taps on the other side it dropped out.

Now the umm fun? Can begin.

Look forward to seeing these fitted :)

Cheers mate, they won't be on for spring action though :D

No problems, there's a few other opportunities throughout the year :)

any more new on the wheels chap??

  • Author

Not really, I have been rubbing them down like crazy but there is a lot of pitting on the dishes and it's starting to beat me slowly. Might have to do what I hate and pay someone to do it.

Take the plunge dude, well worth it

Hi Joe have you had any problems with those led 501 sidelight bulbs you linked to on Amazon?

Two have failed on my car now, the end has shot off on two of them now and are currently rattling around in my headlamp lol.

Need to find some others as I have a replacement here but don't trust them.

Wheels should look mega once done, go for the yellow.

Yes my one has gone out last week but it's the same side that failed before so unsure if it's a coincidence or some other problem.

Just won 4 bbs waffle centres for £24 on ebay which is abit of a bargain as they normally go about £20 each and I only have 2 rc caps so need 2 new ones but couldn't find any on ebay but only go for like £12 each from BMW new. Unsure if I will prefer them but can always sell for a profit I suppose.

Also considering this
