outstanding - anybody got one?

I had a liquid cube, when I had my Mk1 vRS, great bit of kit.

are they compatable with OCT 2? - do you just plug them into the diagnostic port>?

"G-Force meter" .....seriously?!

  • Author

skylinesc..... lol

Want. Is there a specific one for a MKII pre-facelift VRS? G-force meter only really good on track and you'll be too busy driving to be looking and who really cares afterwards (esp. on an octavia?!). The rest of it is good though.

Think I prefer the liquid jobby - anybody got one fitted?

No they dont make it for a Mk2!!

never mind liquid cube, have you heard about torque its an app for android phones that connects to your ecu through a bluetooth obd2 transmitter, its really good it can also scan for fault codes and reset them too. it has loads of features, i havent even scratched the surface with it yet the one thing i really like is the boost gauge ive always wanted a boost gauge and now i have one. my screen shows throttle position, air flow, coolant temp, revs , speed and boost. you can also choose the type of display too. my boost gauge is the needle type but it also shows you the max boost you got on your current journey.(i was getting a peak of 14 psi yesterday)

the app costs £2.95 the bluetooth adapter cost me £10.50 and i bought a phone holder as well for my htc sensation, but some people will already have a phone holder.

for less than £20 you have a tool or toy to play with that probably does the same as the cube thing anyway its gotta be worth a shot !

The best gauges that I've seen lately have been in a XJ, I took a couple of blurry photos:

It's not available for iPhone ? Great concept

There is a similar app for the iPhone, BUT you wont be able to use a bluetooth dongle. You will need a WIFI dongle as the iPhone doesnt communicate with the bluetooth dongle.

If you want similar in your maxidot, look for EMFA or Polar FIS.

Had an EMFA myself in my pre facelift (my 07) and for the facelift there should be a Polar FIS unit available.

I have the PLX Devices Kiwi Bluetooth and it works a treat. http://www.briskoda....etooth-android/

As said, get the WiFi version for Iphone.

Whats the app for the iphone called ? whats the wifi dongle called?..... dont tease me like this, i so want one now lol

Dashcommand OBDII gauge (the app)

The dongle is a OBDII wifi interface, just look in eBay to get an impression. Also the right interfaces are mentioned in the app.

Rev, DashCommand & FuzzyCar are other apps ive found....

Only problem i see is that the dongle is over £100 - is there any cheaper ones?

Thanks magic BTW

App is also more expensive than the android Torque version.

That is why I looked for a small android pad and a (cheaper) BT dongle (bigger screen is a big advantage. Especially at age :giggle: )

You're welcome! :hi:

Here's a couple of pics of my setup. :)

ELM327 + Torque Pro on a 1st gen Samsung Galaxy Tab that also acts as a WiFi access point!!
