Less then two weeks of owning the blackline :(

Paint bubble i wouldn't be happy with this or the excuse they have given i would insist that this work is carried out afterall its only 4 screws you could leave the spoiler with them. Painting is quite a specialist thing to get right ( What colour is it?)

Pretty sure the spoiler is bonded and screwed.

I don't really understand their excuse about the spoiler at this stage. The paint finish isn't upto scratch so it should be resprayed and done properly now, so it's sorted.

If the car is 12 days old I'm pretty certain the spoiler imperfection will have been evident upon delivery of the car to the dealership. So it should have been picked up as part of the PDI process.

The imperfection is a air bubble around 2mm. It's tiny but I spotted it and when I pushed the air bubble it sunk in and moved ever so slightly. I said I'm worried the air bubble will pop and it will spread. He said well its very small and so on.

He think he may have thought I was being fussy coz its that small but it's still there. Ill live lol I will just leave it for now got more important things to focus on the a small bubble in my paint work on a brand new car I was very excited on getting lol

The factory's end of line check process and the dealer PDI process took a bit of a knock in my eyes when someone posted on another Blackline thread how his was delivered with the vRS badge on the steering wheel fitted upside down!

Sort the spoiler now.

The dealer is fobbing you off as they can't be bothered with the hassle.

The camera not being able to pick up on the imperfection is of no concern to you.

The rear spoiler on the vRS is known for it's paint/laquer issues, although in the vast majority of cases it shows up outside of the warranty.

The longer you leave it / the worse it gets then the easier it will be for the dealer / Skoda to reject a potential warranty claim down to them arguing that the damage is due to a stone chip or over aggressive polishing, bird droppings etc, etc.

Advised me to wait until the paint defect gets worse as when they repaint the spoiler it may come back worse as they are difficult to spray.

So he wants you to wait in case it comes back worse after he's repainted it? I read that as "hopefully it will then be out of warranty by the time it comes back"

You could take it back and tell them it' their problem and if they can't respray it properly you'll get it done and send them the bill! As Anddenton says above looks like they might be trying to fob you off. alternatively you could photgraph it and send the details to both Skoda UK and the dealer by email identifying the fault and expecting it to be fixed under warrenty so you establish it's there now with Skoda UK, rather than having to argue about it later if you don't want to be bothered at this stage

I'm actually quite jealous of everyone driving about in their Blackline's and enjoying them. Mine is now back at the dealers for the third time in less than four weeks of owning it. In fact, in those 4 weeks I've only had the use of it for about 10 days

Not only do the dealer not have a clue what the cause of the fault is and seem far from interested but now I cannot get any basic courtesy from Skoda UK who seem unable to return any calls let alone look into the issues. So, anyone that actually has a Blackline that is working properly, please enjoy it on behalf of those that are unable to.

Sounds like Skoda UK are still at the the old "we will call you back" nonsense.

Ask to speak to Robert Hazelwood you might get his "lacky" Mat though or email [email protected] pass on my hello.... the **** that he is lol.

Im with everyone else on this one to do with the spoiler, you want to get it painted now as the paint is still fresh and new and not sun damaged or fadded. If they keep on insisting that you wait till it gets worse, then get it in writing and a description and area of the defect.

can u take a digi video instead? sometimes a moving picture is better than a still at showing up faults- we did it when we had a **** appartment and I'm sure the video was worth far more than still as it showed the problem up better as we got compensation too.
