Hello.

With Christmas coming up, I'd like to get some Alpine SPG-17CS for my Octavia Tour 2007, I just asked the bloke at the garage if he can fit them and he called back to say that it might be problematic. Apparently there's no problem with the bass units in the door, but there is a problem fitting the tweeters in the space at the top of the door.

I'd like to ask if anyone has any experience fitting these speakers? Does anyone even know if it's possible?

Without stripping the tweeter housing and having a close look at what you could do to make the tweeter fit its hard to say ... Best bet is to do a search on google. For people that have custom installs in a car similar to yours you may stumble across somebody's build pictures/ guides

I had a look on Google, most of the pictures seemed to be for mounting the bass units, which I am told should be simple. I did notice that the bass units need special mounting rings for each type of car - do they do similar things for tweeters?

I have Alpine Type R 17cm components in my mk1 octy VRS. Which are the same dimensions as the Speakers you have listed. Straight fitment without any problems.
