Look spot on mate!

I've bought some OEM wheels too - just waiting for them to arrive!

Going Repsol orange for mine I think - should look good against the black :D

I know someone that does sandblasting - would that be suitable prep for cleaning them before spraying?

Yeah it's a bit battered in all honesty but will get around to it eventually as the 215 tyre profile is too big for it to go in the boot so want to sell it! Did you find that they (the spiders I got from you) scraped on the arch lining when turning at slow speed when you had them?!? I know nothing about tyre sizes but am starting to think the 215 profile is not the right size

Well when you consider £200+ for a refurb, £50 and a not a perfect job does sound appealing.... the white bit looks like a thumb/finger print?!

Mine never once scraped dude! I was nowhere near as low as you mind haha!! Yeah it might be a thumb print, i literally brought them inside and took a picture so was probably condensation!

Top work Dan - glad my inspiration helped.

I'm in the same boat as you hence why i refurbed all my own wheels.

Too tight to open my wallet but i have spare time to burn ;)

I also am not looking for perfect so would rather spend £50 doing them myself than 4 times that getting someone professional to do them.

Especially when you then whack them into a kerb and ruin them anyways!

Speaking of which I really need to start the work on making Mrs Pasty's wheels sparkly purple! lol

Yeap your right Cliff! Also feel alot better in yourself for doing them. Abit of an achievement!

Sparkly purple? I like! Pictures will have to be uploaded!

That will look very good against the black mate!

Umm to be honest mate i dont have a clue lol. Have a go at sanding them ;) The type R wheels are a pain inbetween some of the spokes. I cut down a bolt and slid the paper in. Wrapped it around and whacked it in a battery drill. Worked perfect for getting in the small gaps!

Bought a 6 Disc CD Changer off a forum member for £30 including the cable and fitted it today. Unsure where its originially meant to be fitted? Boot, under passenger seat or somewhere else, i have no idea lol.

Going to have to do some research on where its meant to be fitted. I got a feeling its the boot, as the cable supplied is loooooooong.

  • 2 weeks later...

Sounds good man! The piper systems are a very good fit!! Plus they are very well made and are 2.5 inch which is good and free flowing apparently! The supercharger is being fitted on Wednesday then Thursday is dyno day for the tuning of the map :p

Fitted the cd changer in place today.

Whacked in 4 self tappers for the back to fix, then 2 M6 bolts to secure the top.
