It's a tiny little lip that pokes out, subtle but they sound like God.

Great choice of car... really amazing engine and very competent chassis, the facelift is such an improvement over the original... steering especially.

in that set up yes. its the safest way (modding wise obviously oem is superior if you want to stay standard power) but some other people have used a long arm pipe with an open cone down by the wheel arch...and have ended up hydro locking their engine. My mate lewis who has a supercharged on had a long arm open cone set up, untill he hydrolocked it lol. £3000 bill later (insurance paid) luckily. Now he runs this set up as theres no risk of water getting in.

So you think your actually losing power over standard with that set up?

I think he probably means that it offers no gains for standard power, so it's a waste of money and you might as well just keep the OEM intake.

No I'm not loosing power. But to get the most out of it I need it mapped :p if I wasn't intending to have it map then yes it would be £££ for just some noise lol

Very nice prem edition Rob! I wanted one but when I was looking the market price was high. Now they've plummeted :( should of waited a bit longer lol the prem recaros are well worth the money

I had a new Prem edition in 2005. I sold it 2 years after due to it not being used at all. Shame, it was a fantastic car, still in mint condition too. The dealer robbed me when they bought it back :(

Looks great mate - some good mods on there! I love my Civic, I went from a PD130 to this too!

I have a K&N Typhoon which sounds like your Tegiwa - Vtec is so addictive :D I was worried about heat soak but its no slower than my mates with an AEM V2 so Im happy and like mentioned I have no worries of hydrolocking. I'd love to go the k-pro route but I havent won the lottery :( lol.

I have no clue about these Dan..... Why do you have to change the ECU and can I do the same to her crappy 1.6se vtec to make it a bit nippier?!?

To custom map and run a supercharger I'd imagine dude!

The chip on the right of the ecu is the k100 bit. I bought it as a whole unit so I can save my standard ecu when it comes to selling / de modding. I ain't really too clued up on these mate but as far as I'm aware you need I change the ecu so the tuner can remap it. If I got a kpro ecu id be able to change settings and use different maps etc , set launch control and all kinds of stuff which I'm sure if I got my hands on I'd blow the car up lol. Plus k pro is more expensive. It would make a different on your gf's civic standard, a few people just have an k100 ecu with standard mods but the increase in bhp isn't much. Your better off getting all the breather mods done, then k100 then a map , this way your only paying for the car to be mapped once.

Ah ok cool.... Might be easier to find a cheap zetec - s as our daily and map that and sell the Civic...... I'm sure yours is a rocket in comparison but I bloody hate her car in all fairness!
