Need columbus map update disc

Featured Replies

A brief note, I purchased a second hand columbus unit with the intention of replacing my old sat nav system. The attraction of the columbus being the full post code search (a priority for work), the DVD playback and mp3 support (for travelling to the afore mentioned work).

The actual install was no problem, the next day the battery was flat. The unit had the wrong firmware, so a little work and I found how to reset it. (And one cambus for good measure.)

A by-product of this is that I no longer have the map data, so I am hoping for a good Samaritan to let me 'steal' a recent map disc for an hour or two. I will, of course, offer a goodwill gesture in return.

TL;DR need disc, give beer

V9 maps (without added Speed camera data) are known as '7918' or with Speed camera data '7920'. Use a torrent downloader and search on those numbers, download, burn to a dual-layer DVD, pop it in your Columbus and Bob's your uncle.

thanks for the reply.

that is basically what i've done. a new burner was only 13 quid! although the discs were 10 for £8. i was hoping for someone local to me to volunteer their disc for a couple of hours.

Ahem, not wise to be discussing piracy in public! LOCKED!
