Octavia Bolero will not fit a Fabia, the radio front is totally the wrong shape.

You will have issues with battery drain unless you also upgrade the CAN gateway in your car at the same time.

What's a CAN gateway then? Expensive or a vcds visit?

its not expensive, but it does require specific coding for your car with VCDS.

I'm pretty sure that it will work but there is an issue with battery drain on older Octavias and as I understand it, new CAN Bus is needed to sort this issue out. :think:

It will work fine in a 58 plate Octy. Straight plug and play. No need to change facia surround either

The fakara adapter is required to pick up am/fm radio if you don't listen to am radio you do not need the adapter. Fitted bolero to my 08 plate with nonissues what so ever. Very pleased with it.

Yes plug & play on that year Octavia. No need CAN upgrade.
