That's ok then, I'll be putting seat covers on them so lifting the squab up will make it easier

I have unclipped the base rear seat after my youngest daughter spilled hot chocolate all over the rear seats. However, I'm sure the base is not designed to be removed on a regular basis, and I would not recommend it.

will only be getting removed once in order to fit seat covers but don't need to have the rear seats down regularly don't suppose I'll need it down as the superb's boot is so big

My rear seat squab is almost permanently removed from my twindoor as I drive around with a mountain bike in the boot, I just put a towel between the leather of the backrests and the seat base to prevent damage to the leather, no problems at all.

I also have a Rhino boot liner that is like a vinyl bucket and keeps all the dirt contained.
