Lost the plot (proof I like my Yeti a LOT)

I'm undecided Truthseeker.

I have cut the ends off before which, as you know, is legal.

But the Yeti has a plinth for the plate to go on. So I think it looks better with a full size one.

The problem with the GB logo is it's shunting the letters to one side. Which means the reg number on the back and front plates is not central to the car or badges.

Which bugs me.

I think it is very good BUT, it will only ever work on a YETI, I bought the wife VR55 HAZ VR5 as in VRS and 5HAZ as is Shaz (the wife) this will also only be of significance on a VRS car.

So after that negative comment, I really like the plate. looks the part

Cutting down not ideal, especially if you are cack handed like me. This is what I had in mind - always get my plates from this supplier.

I think it adds a touch of nonchalance and dispels any suggestion that you might be a bit obsessive.

Seriously Richard it looks most impressive. I wonder when it was first issued?

How about this then;

Quote from Wikipedia but sounds correct when oil money no object:

"........The most expensive number plate belongs to that of Saeed Abdel Ghaffar Khouri, at $14.2 million, and is the UAE vehicle registration plate "1"......"

Yep Richard.

You have lost the plot.

I like it though. James Rothwell was attempting to get somebody to buy this 2 years ago. You must send him a pm and photo!!

As I live in the Isle of Man, and we have our own Department of Transport, a Yeti related Reg number is a no no. If you are a Manchester United fan it is seventh heaven!!!!

Looks great Richard.

Enjoy.

Cheers

This registration was first made available in 1961. The original office for this letter combination is Rotherham C.B.C.

And I saw it advertised about a year ago for around £42,000 and decided not to.

Bu@@er I have been saving my change to get that, only had another 40k to save

Looks good on a yeti at last boss, love the wheels to. keep thinking about getting a set for my yeti, but SWMBO would only scratch them :notme: , and it would be my fault

I tried to focus in on the tax disc.............

end of Feb13.

It is real and not a show plate, That is Sub Zero on the cool scale!!!

Sweet!!!

Mr Boss man - you are my hero! Just had a peek at your Nissan in yellow (not seen before as only been on this forum for a few months). GT-R one of my top 3 purchases when lottery comes up. Had a "few" nice motors (and customised/tuned them) when earning plenty, but now retired have to go easy.

Top 3 Wish list (no particular order).

Nissan GT-R

Audi RS6 Avant

Audi R8 (V10 hard top)

PS - Also love your other number BO55 FOX

Thanks Truthseeker. It's Richard BTW.

Guess you found the daft reg I have on that now. 3 GTR.

In Japanese 3 is pronounced "san", which although on the end as they do things differently is pronounced the same as "Mr".

So it kinds of reads Mr GTR if you are a bit liberal with the interpretation.

Sometimes I think I need help... :(

Nice to know I'm not the only nut out there though. :D

No you don't - I was the same a "few" years ago, although the wife still insists I do need help. By the way, the Yeti is my 100th car (at age 60), so you know where I am coming from.

My best collection at the same time was (1988) - Sierra Cosworth (3 door), MR2 - MK1 and a MK 2, Suzuki SJ413 x 2 (1 turbocharged and the other Supercharged), Daimler/Jag V8 (Mk2), Nissan 200 SX (company car) and Kawasaki GPZ750 - thinking about it the missus was (and is) right!

I did some photo shop on my signature pic when I joined this forum in Nov 2011. Somebody said it was bought for nearly 40K and not fitted to a yeti.

Link to thread http://www.briskoda....reg-for-a-yeti/

If yours really is for real you are lucky it was available because it was'nt at the time when I was looking.

Hi Rick,

Yes I remember when you played that trick quite well, with the reg on your car.

I thought it looked good and you had me fooled! :)

I bought through Reg transfers after a 25% sale and a large discount on top due to a month negotiating with many phone calls back and forth.

RegTransfers - just up the road from me in Dunstable. I know people who have worked there and.......... let's just say that it's "very Interesting" how the sales staff make their commission, so not surprised you spent a month negotiating. I reckon Skoda UK would pay you at least what you paid should you ever want to sell Richard. I often wonder where NOK 1A is.

PS. I have a plate currently for sale with RegTransfers - brought on a whim from DVLA for my new Yeti in May. I am a UFO/ET "nutter" as well as a die hard car freak so here goes: ET12 UFO or, thinking about it could spell ETI 2 UFO.

If this is half right --well words fail me!-- but everyone to there own as they say--I suppose you could always sell it again

I'm a great fan of personalised plate. I have two but these days one is on retention.

My current plate spells my surname well without mis spacing or bolts.

My wife bought me my first plate for my 40th Birthday. It was placed on a new (Japanese) Honda, built in Swindon, purchased via Carfile in Derby from a garage in Stoke on Trent, by me living in Nottinghamshire, registered in Leicester (by me). The plate originally hails from Oxford. Financed by a French outfit!

Three is San in Japanese and thought it when I saw it so well thought out. San! Ni! Ichi! Go! :D Plate looks great on the Yeti. Guessing it's a keeper then
