  • It's taken me a week to read this thread after my own Superb purchase! I can only say how gutted I am you sold Audrey! It was like a soap opera I didn't want to end. What am I going to do tomorrow?!

  • That's one hell of an aerial on the back there!...

  • It's not an aerial; it's the pole that makes contact with the ceiling grid.

I carry a compressor and tyre gel as well as the space saver spare. Clearly if you get a puncture whilst driving you will know about it. However, if you return to your car and the tyre is flat, it could just be that some scally wag has let the air out of your tyre. Happened to me when I used to have to park on the street, which was on the pub route home. Much easier to stick the compressor on for a couple of minutes in the rain to check if you're the subject of a practical joke, than to try and change the tyre.

Can you still remove the valve's inners these days? - I can remember being able to remove the inners of the Valves when i was younger..! - No Chance of Blowing that back up! - Such Fun!

Was going to buy this Tax Disc Holder:

But, think this one is more appropriate for Audrey:

Yep. Schrader (car type) valves are designed this way. Had to do this last year when the end of a rusty spring decided to embed itself in one of my tyres.

Thats awesome!

Thks Racing Boy!

Tyres weight = 92 yay! :-)

Interestingly it states no CD - but i do!

And no mention of Heated Front Screen

Heated front/rear seats.

I think someone mentioned tht there was no First Aid box or

warning triangle in boot?

But i still have the First Aid compartment (Green cross logo)

and the rubber straps to hold the warning triangle.

So does anyone actually have an original First Aid Box / Warning Triangle?

Not a great idea to put your VIN out on public display Wayne...

Not a great idea to put your VIN out on public display Wayne...

U have a point ...image now removed.

Have also asked Antichoke to remove the image in his reply too ...

...not sure whn he is next online though ...

yep best to not let anyone see your VIN or number plate, if there is another red superb running about with no tax/insurance/MOT he can go and get a plate made up stick it on his car and bob's your uncle he has cloned you and run up speedin bills and parking offences in your name ,and there are some places that let you make NO. plates and don't need to see your V5C or insurance doc if they are not connected to DVLA, i know this has a week before i got my superb i went to my local Andrew watts and asked for my superbs square rear NO. plate to be made to go next to the taxi plate but Ann said she could not do it without my v5c or insurance doc to show i owned the car and wasn't cloning or it hadn't got mot/tax ETC ,i know her well but said that if she gave me a NO plate without docs they could get fined £5000, but there was an other garage down the road that let you get plates without a permit off DVLA, so went there and got it as i did not have the car and it wasn't even registered,

I'm back, but I can't edit my post. It seems to do that from time to time - no idea why?

Mods - please can you remove the image from my post? Or delete it? Ta

Cheers Racing Boy.

Certain info such as number plates i am not bother.

Like name and addresses its in the public domain.

But VINs as Jake puts it need to be hidden - as not in public domain.

Cheers again Racing Boy!

For some reason all the options are not listed (same as my car) like the sunset glass (darker tinted rear windows) heated screen etc.

Your options (over std Elegance) are in red along with a few amended codes:

3FE = Electric slide/tilt sunroof with sun screen/sunblind

4A4 = Seat heater for front and rear seats separately controlled

9VJ = Sound package

7X5 = Parallel parking assistant

2QD = Nameplate set California 3QD = 3-point seat belts front with mechanical seat-belt tensioner on drivers side

GG1 = code not found :-( QG1 = Service interval prolongation (Variable servicing)

E0A = No special edition F0A = No special purpose vehicle, standard equipment

Cheer Martin.

Maybe some options are fitted at Retailer/destination-country rather than at Factory?

Many have said my old Scooby had alarm fitted AFTER it arrived from Japan - since the perimeter sensor dosen't really blend with the actually design of the car....

...its not after market (since nearly all the Scoobys I have seen had the same fittings.....)

I know what you mean, but things like heated screens (think of the wiring looms not to mention the new climatronic panel with the added button) would be prohibitive to fit after the car was built.

I never really noticed it before, but I checked my codes and noticed neither were on there either, which is strange.

As for your CD player, do you have the additional multi changer fitted or just the single one in the Columbus?

Single CD / DVD

That will be why it is not listed then as it will all come under the 8AY = Radio/navigation system

Strange how manufacturer label things.

Would be easier to state: Radio/CD/SatNav

Cant see point if the codes if its not clear wots on the car?!!!

An sure some cars have no CD - thn how u label tht?

So always true tht the paper its printed on is not worth its weight!

Always physically check it yourself! :-)

Wonder if Audrey got bluetooth?

Not tested it myself yet.

Though the PHONE function does bring up a menu.

And the previous owner address book.

Even got previous owner audio stories on hard drive.

Something about MAKING MONEY and there is abt 20chapters of it

Bearbugs!

Or Bugbears!

Not aim at Audrey,but Skoda.

1. The ANNOYING squeaks of rubber trims!

My BMW 1-series pre-FL was well-known for it!

The rubbing of the passenger side rubber trims (not sure where).

Thn at certain speeds sounds like tingling loose of a 1000 microscopic ball bearings

just behind on the right side of the driver?!!!

2. Prod-Screen

wot was Skoda thinking of?

Its slow, it ned your 100% attention while u try to SCROLL,

prod and thn make sure your prodding worked?!!!

a car accident waiting to happen! :-(

Not enough though to outweigh the spendor, the comfort and the masses space of the Superb:-)

Wonder if Audrey got bluetooth?

Yep, std on the Elegance.
