I found my Superb: She's called Audrey!

Featured Replies

Apart from buying a new BlueTooth unit - any other solutions I have a missed?

Nope... no other Solution I'm afraid... Fiscon do a BT unit too, but it need a new mic and is more expensive to fit (more like an integrated parrot unit, rather than a simple module change)

  • It's taken me a week to read this thread after my own Superb purchase! I can only say how gutted I am you sold Audrey! It was like a soap opera I didn't want to end. What am I going to do tomorrow?!

  • That's one hell of an aerial on the back there!...

  • It's not an aerial; it's the pole that makes contact with the ceiling grid.

... Or like me, give up after 20mins and get Skoda to do it for FREE plus £4.90 for 2bulbs :-)

Try doing that on a passat and you'd need a skin graft!

Think I need a skin graft already mate - a few torn skin on my right hand and a blister on the thumb! :-(

Done some nasty bulbs before - but 1st time I have no idea how to replace :-(

Is it a twist and pull?

Unscrew?

Push and pull?

Judging from pics certainly not help by spring clips ...

Done it on mine, just get hold of the three wires... and give it a subtle tug and out it comes, to reinsert just push until it clips in.

I changed them on mine to Osram LED's.

LOL

Think u know me well enough to say the tiniest weeny dent is a whacked!

Certainly feel it with me finger nails!

I've got the same problem at the dentist - and was there twice last week. Solution. Go on my bicycle!. Sad, I, know, but I'd rather leave my Superb safely in the driveway and go on my bike, than risk it getting scratched or dented! Same with grocery shopping - either only buy what I can fit in the panniers of my touring bike, or let my wife do the shopping in her car - which has already got three car park dings!

Another thing worth mentioning - since I've started using my bike more, I'm filling up less!

Solution is easy mate.... cut your fingernails REALLY short, then you can't feel the scratch LOL (says he who's totally 100% certifiable paranoid and does things like ksr too - not that I'm suggesting he's paranoid of course.....)

Tried that Ade, when I was learning to play the guitar.

Back then, my guitar class mate said "cut your nails way back like mine til thy bleed!"

Can u imagine runny my bloody finger nails (or lack of) on Audrey s shiny body work? Eeeek!

Found another DENT on the worse place on Audrey.

A small indentation on the raised bit of the bonnet.

Discovered actually after having bulbs replaced at Skoda :-(

Didnt noticed when it happened since too obsessed with just checking the driver's side panels all these weeks after being whacked on the front wheel arch :-(

Grrrrrr
