Now listen up double-O 7 and a 1/2 (ade :hi: )!!!

Quick detailing (pls note this is my own version - does not mean it is correct and always use the method u prefer):

Disclaimer: Got tooooooo COLD, so skipped AG Paint Renovator step

Step 1: Preparation

I use these:

Audrey BEFORE pics:

image_zps0119073d.jpg

Step 2: Quick Wash (preferably 2 bucket wash with Microfibre Mitts - If u can afford it Sheep/wool Mitts)

Step 3: Claying

image_zps8bee0669.jpg

Use WARM water to spray on clay bar to soften and play with it until this size and thickness.

(Spray area to be clayed with warm water too):

image_zps51048c7d.jpg

After claying 1/2 the boot top surface only:

image_zps741c3952.jpg

Then fold clay bar in 1/2 (dirty side inside).

Then spray more warm water to flatten to a nice egg size again - then clay another part of car.

(Remember to wipe each clayed area with a microfibre cloth):

After claying the boot / Bonnet and folded 10 times:

Step 4: AG Paint Renovator (skipped)

But, I decided to fix this scratch...

Before:

Clayed, and applied AG Paint Renovator:

  • It's taken me a week to read this thread after my own Superb purchase! I can only say how gutted I am you sold Audrey! It was like a soap opera I didn't want to end. What am I going to do tomorrow?!

  • That's one hell of an aerial on the back there!...

  • It's not an aerial; it's the pole that makes contact with the ceiling grid.

er, HOW do I lift the wipers up (clear of windscreen) to clean the windscreen?

Or, how does one replace the wipers?

The bonnet is in the way?!!! :wall::@

turn ignition on turn wipers on when wipers pointing strait up turn ignition of easy.paintwork looking good wayne

bill

For the wipers, turn ignition on and back off, press wiper stalk down, wipers will then go into the ‘service position’ (¾ up the screen) allowing you to lift the wipers from the screen … the wipers do not work if the bonnet is open!

RTFM

does he have a manual???

Most VAG car are like this. Just after switching the ignition to the off position use the one swipe (1 push down on wiper stalk) this will put the in service mode and they will stay pointing upwards. Doesn't work if the bonnet is open. Hth

Not much time left.

Difficult choice between reading the MANUAL (note: Mandp) or ploughing on before the sky breaks loose with mother nature...

Still to do:

1. Fit rear window blinds

2. Leather clean the inside

3. Wet wipe the inside

4. Boot clean (DONE: When had a flat tyre - spare tyre/well now cleaned)

5. Engine - need to rust-proof that Fuel Filter casing

No rest for the wicked.....:whew:

(Wayne nips out for Fish n Chips lunch ....)

does he have a manual???

He's said he has.

Re cruise control, I specced this on my S spec along with rear parking sensors and 4 heated seats. I would definitely spec cruise again, probably spec rear sensors given size of car but seats were a nice to have that won't add resale value so probably won't spec again

By the way RTFM does work

I recommend Gliptone for the leather and I love 303 Aerospace protectant for all plastic trim, dash board, door cards, rubber seals, engine bay etc brilliant stuff expensive though.

Doesn't leave all the interior silicone greasy way. But an nice warm / shine / glow.

Racing Boy!

When I ordered from Thomasz - he emailed me pics of TWO colours: GREY or CHROME/Silver.

I picked the CHROME/Silver one cos they seem best to match Audrey's alloys.

I suspect u got the GREY ones.
