Mass Air Flow Sensor setting?

Hi all,

i am trying to fix my car, and i have no machanical experiance but will to learn and have a haynes manual. but i can find any setting info on the Mass Air Flow Sensor.

now when i have watch U Tube videos the guys have a volt meter and they attach it to the sensor terminal and it sit at a set meterage, then when they rev the engine it increases.

the question is what reading should my car be sitting at when the engine is in idle and when i rev it to 2000rpm?

my car is: Fabia, 1.4, 2002. comfort.
