Hi, I am looking for someone with VCDS in coventry.

I have a Fabia I, the MOT is up at the start of march and have ECU light on!

It has been reset in the past but comes back, does not effect driving (that I have noticed)!

Help?

Is it not easier to spend £5 on a generic lead and download VCDS lite assuming you have access to a netbook?

Depends what you call easier, as you well know most people that buy the eBay cables struggle to get them working straight away, they are also limited to what they will do.

So yes it is an option, but not necessarily easier.

I'll agree my definition of easy may not be yours but it's hardly complicated and you can then use it again and again as and when required.

I wouldn’t know as mine is a Ross-Tech interface, so was plug and play.

MANY people struggle getting the eBay cables to be recognised though.
