Octavia III rear suspension - Have I got this right?

Featured Replies

Following this as trying to work out for a mate what eibach springs he needs and just discover a proverbial minefield, think he has a torsion beam setup, it's a 2013 2.0 tdi elegance and being asked if he has a rigid rear axel

Tbh I thought it was independent like on the superb but I think I'm wrong judging by what I've read here.

  • The new Golf and Leon are the same, its not just the Octavia. They never really sorted out the IRS on the Octavia MK2, even today we read stories of sawtoothing tyres. At least the simpler setup shoul

  • I loved the line from one of the Ford suits - ‘you’ll hardly notice the difference, except over potholes perhaps’. Definitely not a problem in the UK, then...

2.0TDi Elegance will be torsion beam. Only 4x4 models and vRS 2.0 TDi's were independent.

They are.

He was asking about 2.0TDi elegance.  Only 2.0TDi that had independent were 4X4 or vRS.
