Who's happy with the standard Fabia vRS?

Featured Replies

Just wondering, and I'd tend to agree that the car is far from perfect, as I had intended to mod mine until I made the decision of getting shot.... but I'm just wondering if theres anyone who's happy with the standard car on this forum? :D

I like mine.

Yep.

I'm more than happy with mine.

If I had one I would be happy with it as standard.

I mean, it can already outpace a BMW M5* and out handle Thrust SSC so what, really, would be the point?

* Between 27 and 29mph, assuming the BMW driver is awake and can actually be bothered to even try :D

Is that a jibe at Furby idealists?!?

Nah, it's striking a blow for the Octy Fundamentalists :D

I dont have one but they look nice stationary {ie in the dealers} never drove one but passed a few, they all seemed a little blurry, but I would have one if I didn't have my octy or need the boot space, especially for the fuel consumption.

I thought it could only achieve these with the Cupra 160 intake, Green panel filter and pikey mods?

Nah mate, all they do is increase its dominance in the stated speed rage :D

The Ibiza 130PD (very similar to the vRS) I've just bought my Wife seems very good as standard, my main complaint is the tyres which are terrible. The engine gives good performance in standard guise with plenty available for overtaking manouvers and the brakes seem more than enough for the standard power and suspension. I think most people mod when they crave more power and it's the additional power that then highlights other weeknesses such as suspension and brakes.

its not bad but i have another project in mind a 2000bhp per tonne mini !!!! :D

I think my fabia VRS is superb!! it has the odd little problem (Such as the electric wing mirrors occasionally working together when i select left instead of independantly) but apart from that it is great. As far as i know it is standard (Bought it second hand from lightcliffe skoda in huddersfield).

I still try to find excuses to drive it !!

Steve

yep very happy with mine as standard and i have no plans to remap

That'll be almost as quick as a Fabia :eek::eek::eek::eek::eek:

dont be silly the fabia will demolish it before the key has even turned

Just because I've modd'd mine doesn't mean I wasn't happy with it to start with. I've always wanted to mod one of my cars but I've never had a car that will be reliable enough to take it. The fabia is a great little package and if I didn't have some money to waste I would have been more and happy to leave it standard.

More than happy with standard VRS, I moved from a Picasso to the Vrs, but what I haven't got I don't miss plus there is the added cost of insurance etc on modded cars. Nearly a year on and as others say, its still a thrill to drive every time.

Same here. My biggest mod was a leather re-trim, and if I hadn't had the cash to throw at it I'd have left it standard - and been happy with that.

Exactly my feelings.

Very happy here, only thing I've done to it is put on some decent tyres (Toyo) and fitted the green filter. :D

I must admit, even though I would have modded mine if I could, I must have liked it to do 20,000 nearly entirely pointless miles in a single year :D

Love it... :D:D:D

:rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl:

I am over the moon with mine, what more could you ask for ?

0 - 60 in 3.2 seconds

Top speed in excess of 200mph

Out handles Caterhams in every way

but my only grip is I can't fit the baby pram in boot without collapsing it down

Ah you've gotthe new gearbox, the old gearbox shaves about 0.0127492 seconds off that 0-60 time
