Not gonna bother to try it, but how come this doesn't work on a Bolero and other touchscreen models? Is it because they accept discs for satnav updates and whatnot whereas bolero's and the like only read them for music?

Looks like I'll be owing FUBAR more than a fiver copyright -- I'm using the same picture now as a screen saver on the laptop............ Will look good when anyone comes up to have their car plugged into VCDS!

The amundsen + unit isn't mentioned in the list of compatible head units so I doubt it would work all tho I am tempted to try it my self as I wouldn't mind a personalised startup screen.

If you click on link in post#1 it is on that site (click 'Skoda') at top of the page and it is the first one. If you do not require the .iso file and merely need the picture itself you can right click on any of them to obtain the URL of the image and save/download it as a .png file in the correct 800/480 resolution required for the unit.

No its only for the RNS510, there might be something similar out there for the amundsen+ google it by its model number. (RNS315 I think)

Sorry adurer I have not heard of Motordiag RNS 510 Manager, I do not have Eastern European maps I am on Western also. Apart from being able to self update the Firmware and this boot logo I have no idea sorry.

Wouldn't use this version as the cut out of the car was rushed and looks cack! Also no good for me as my car is green but it was the cleanest image of a FL VRS hatch I could find. Can have another go if anyone is interested.

Hadn't played with the plastic wrap filter in PS for a few years so I thought I would try it. Needless to say, needs more work!

Worked straight off!!

Very pretty-pretty.

+ 1 success.

Used Ultra ISO demo, recorded at slowest speed (x4), track at once on a CDR. Worked first time using these settings. Tried Nero 12, Alcohol 120% and few others using both CDR's and DVD's with no success. Not sure if it was Ultra ISO or the track at once setting which did the trick.

If you make a custom image, things to look out for :-

Gradients don't work 100% as the screen isn't as good as a normal monitor you and you may get banding.

Don't forget to squash your image before importing (technical term :-) ). The screen stretches the image horizontally. Take a look at the original screen elsewhere in the thread (post #47) and you will see what I mean.
