David vs Goliath

Featured Replies

It's truely amazing how fast supercars actually are.

When I had my Series McRae Scoob I followed a fellow scoobynetter down a slip road. He was driving a Porsche GT2.

We both accelerated when we saw the road was clear, I expected him to steadily pull away. He didn't steadily pull away he absolutely destroyed me, the scoob is no match for a 200mph+ supercar. :)

Cheers

are you using the player supplied??? If its not working then try below

If not download the DSS video client software from the following link

http://www.cyberlyne.co.uk/dvrsoftware/

Install it then goto file/ open and browse to the file that should work. Its because its in a special format for security purposes

126MPH!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and he was still pulling away

lambo is black dot in the distance

4706.attach

just got it working..pity no sound, quite impressed a furby managed to stick with it at all............makes my tussel with the 360 ferrari seem a bit more believeable!!!!

Lambo pulled over in the end though. :D Guess he may have been worried the Fabia was a copper clocking his speed.

is it me or is there another vRS (black) in the middle lane - just when lambo is slowing from 135...

wonder if they are a member?

The black one inthe middle lane was only a 1.4 MPI. After he pulled away he followed me for a while then overtook me again. I think next week I will add a reverse camera and audio near the front valance to capture any supercar noises while travelling (do a fair bit as I have covered 15k since the middle of feb). The system I have can support upto 16 cameras all in realtime so I may stick some in the wheel arches and do bumper cam at some point. Also I can produce the footage with all the cams at the same time in sync

Looks like the back of a vRS to me!

Cameras sound like a lot of fun... post some more if you get any interesting ones. Good motoring!

Interested in your in car video. I did read an article in, I think, Auto Express, on the increasing use of video surveilance for car security. Really would use it for security and god forbid, to back up accident claim. Would you mind sending me information? My direct email is [email protected] I drive a standard Fab vRS.

Cheers

Was tootling up the A1 today minding my own business when like a rocket from behind cam a Stealth Black Lamborghini Gallardo, So I thouhgt I`d see what the fab was like against this behemoth and surprisingly it stuffed me. I have video evidence (I design digital surveillance equipment and have some permanently in the car) of me following the thing at 120+ (speed is overlayed on the vid via GPS). If anyone wants to host the vid for me let me know via PM

ello , ello , ello , ................what do we have here then ...?

Ah , a video of cars doing in excess of 125 MPH on a public highway .....................are you looking for trouble or what ..?

If so please email me at [email protected] ................

Unfortunatly the speed recording equipment is not calibrated to home office standards and has a margin of error of +/- 1000 % :D

:rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl:

Ah that would be down to it being tied in to the GPS which is notoriously innacurate :D

On a slightly related note, did anyone see Road Wars on Sky One yesterday? They had a feature about US insurance companies fitting forward facing cameras with a hard disk instant save of the footage if the car is involved in an accident. Their main purpose would be to decide blame in a collision, and apparently some UK insurance companies are looking into introducing these too!

Chris

So i can't seem to work the link.....

Anyone any idea's or can it be changed to something else !?!?

I am gagging to see this !

Download the file and then you need to download the DSS video client software from the following link

http://www.cyberlyne.co.uk/dvrsoftware/

then file, open and select lambo and hey presto.

Yeah I saw road wars and there was a news report yesterday on one of the news channels (think it was news 24) about a US based system called drivercam being evaluated by some insurance companies that wil cost around 1K for a one cam system. The system I have will cost around 5-600 for a 4 cam system and works everytime the car is running and upto 20mins after the ignition has been switched off, it can store upto a months motoring

I tried to install the DSS software but an I/O error occurred.

Haven't a clue what that means. Also says a installation file was corrupt.

You need to have admin privelidges for the software to install properly, it shouldnt be difficult that software is in use on around 20000 PC`s around the world so it does work. If the software is installing and all you are getting is black video vindow when trying to play the footage instal the latest drivers for your vid card and the latest version of direct x, the system uses some advanced direct X 9 commands
