What tyre's everyone running?

Featured Replies

I was very impressed with my RS2s through the winter!

Bridgestone Turanza at the moment, but fancy some sport contact 3's next as they get raved about!

Can anyone compare these two??

Yes I have Turanza's on my 16's, they are no where near as grippy as the SC3's on my 17's, but then they are a different width so not completely fair. Wear on both seems pretty good, much better than the T1R for instance.

I did run Hankook V12's which weren't bad. I moved to T1R but have found them to wear pretty badly around the edges. Car set is fine and I will be moving back to V12's once the part worns I have wear out.

Just a note - I think the Toyo T1R's are now discontinued.

You can pick t1rs up from tyredrive.com. A quick google search will find you a set. And at £53 a corner its. Abargain!

Great thanks

Am I right in thinking the bridgestones were factory on an 07 se?

Stickier tyres require when due!!!

Long long L688 are my chosen tyre ATM

Will give them run around oulton park on wednesday 27th.

I've used both the PZero Nero's and Michelin PS3's on my Fabia. The PZero's were good but the Michelins are better.

I've noticed Goodyear F1 Asymmetrics are now available in the standard Fabia vRS size. I might try them next cos I was a big fan of the F1 GSD3's on previous cars.

No, should be Continental SportContact 2.. Check what's on your spare - usually a dead giveaway (unless it's been changed).

Iv got rainsport 2`s on the front of mine, excellent grip in the dry and are immense in the wet. I havnt managed to get them to understeer in the wet yet !

Very reasonably priced from camskill.

I've got these on mine and hate them! Break traction ever so easy and have a lot of road noise. Kept the vredestien tyres I took off so they might well go back on the front, couldn't fault them

I'm running: Hankook Ventus S1 Evo K107- 215/35-17

I ran a pair of T1-Rs and weren't bad although when worn they didn't like deep standing water that much. I now run (for summer) Rainsport 2s and now onto my second pair.

I also run with a pair of Goodyear Ultragrip GW3 winter tyres which are good in this cold weather.

Grr666 are they a good tyre ? Just read some reviews on them and they seem pretty awesome, would you reccomensd them? Might give them a try soon as I've killed these awful budgets on the front.

I thought when you looked on Goodyear's site it said they are only available as GSD3s however, I've just re-looked and found you can buy assymetrics in our size. :D

They are not available yet on websites I use (camskil, Mytryres, Black circles). however have found them on this.: http://www.tyres-pne...16,83,Y,FP.html

I was expecting them to be £100 plus, but they are not, (still a premium price though) it's just a shame my current summers (RS2s), that I bought in November, won't need replacing for quite a while yet.

Michelin PS3 all round for me too. Loads of grip and last very well

I'm happy enough with them, I'm fairly limited on what I can fit

to my car as I have to have the Y speed rating. There's about 4 types of

premium tyres I can use and these seem to be the pick of the bunch if the reviews are

anything to go by. My MOT is due this month and I need to buy 4 tyres to be sure of a pass

(My rears are on the limit really and there's a chunk out of one of the fronts)

and I'm happy enough with them to buy 4 more if that's

any recommendation. I think they are good value for the current price, they grip very well

in the wet.

I usually go for T1-R's but on my new vRS wheels I went for NS2's as the reviews aren't half bad and a few mates had tried them. So far I am impressed, road noise is minimal to none, grip in wet and dry seems to be moderate to good whilst been predictable. Can't really comment on life span yet.
