Time to swap winter tyres out....?

Featured Replies

I look stupid today! Got stuck 4 times in my street and had to be pushed in the end :(

Mind you my tyres are on the wear bars!

  • Mine are coming off this month although it was -3 the other night so its not asif their still not coming in useful. Cant wait to rid the taxi look though!

  • I'm also of the opinion that winter tyres are only really beneficial in snow. The contis grip just as well in 2 deg C as the Uniroyals did, in fact better.

I'm keeping winters on for the time being...as I don't get paid until Thursday and only have two summer tyres at the moment anyway :p

I'm dubious if we will see an summer this year :) I'll wait for it to actually arrive before changing.

Have my car booked in for 1st April to swap tyres but might just delay that yet!

Removed mine yesterday, granted i got some raised eye brows from the tyre shop but she (the car!) is going over to Germany next week so i want my nice summer wheels on. I will also be taking two winters in the boot as its actually colder over there! :(

No snow in South Wales thankfully so the commute along the M4 should be as much fun as usual then. More to the point, hasn't the country run out of bread and milk yet??

I can see snow on the hills surrounding cardiff ??

Seen quite a few snow covered cars as well.

Light dusting on the hils up here, that's all. Important bit is that the roads are clear, and am assuming that that would be the same further south and west from where I am.

Got a good few inches here. Quite a few cars stuck, but having no problems here on the winter tyres.

There are people out with shovels digging out the road. They always do it and I think they could save themselves a lot of hassle :)
