Couple lips on the inside of the rears that scrub and need to be ground off tomorrow and the fronts to fit and then I can adjust it all properly.

Think 205/40's might be on the cards aswell ;)

They have settled a bit more aswell :)

I'm with you on that dude ;)

Would it/or does it rub on the rears? Wonder how the fronts will look once lowered...?

  • Author

Yeah, catches on a metal lip, only slightly but I'll grind it off tomorrow ;)

Fronts still need to settle!

Few tweeks to do and some lips inside the rear arches to grind off and it'll do at that till the arches are rolled/flared. Should go a bit lower then ;)

Pain in the backside they were!

Nowhere had the spline I needed to had to make do with what I had.

Still a slight rub on the passenger rear but I'll hammer that bk some more tomorrow, also need to find some level ground so I can do the final tweaking and while I'm at it remove the plastic under tray that runs the length of the car :)

Certatinly looks way, way better with that static look. Your front wheels don't stick as much as they did before. When you planning to refurb wheels?

Natural camber has done me proud ;)

They weren't as bad as the pics made out tbh.

Arches & tailgate first then wheels and exhaust, few months yet

Love how the camber sits without the adjustments. I'll have to postpone my arches till mid April, want to see how it looks on your Octy. Which exhaust kit? Milltek? I take it you will remap it, and fit induction kit?

I reckon Si's exhaust will have a more DIY feel to it.

I've recently been reading some uncomplimentary things about Milktek, particularly in regard to the quality of the welds and how restrictive they can be.

BCS exhausts are a work of art by comparison.

Heard that about milltek also, but its not been my experience thus far having had a few of them.

I'll be going bcs after reading many a report about millteks backbox being restrictive.

Don't get me wrong I'm a fan of them but after hearing glowing reports on the bcs system and talking to john it's definitely top of my list.

Looking a million times better now Si.

Cheers dude,

Now it's all settled fronts need to come down a touch and rears need tweaking as there a few mm out.

Plastic undertray needs to come off and rear passenger side has a slight rub when cornering, don't think I hammer the lip flat enough lol

Fronts down a touch more, see how they settle

Rubbing issue sorted along with the undertray bits that were catching!

Really nice stance that mate top work.

Speed bumps are a no go area now it's all settled. Still some fine tweaking to do as I'm not 100% there bang on level at the front.

I really need to fettle with my stance. I am just too lazy. I can adjust the fronts without taking the wheels off but not the rear and that's the only thing stopping me.
