climbed into my 09 octavia vrs to do a quick message, turned on the lights and the light failure icon illuminated in the dash and stayed on but it basically told me all the bulbs needed checked, so i checked all the bulbs, apart from the indicators, however when i went to use the indicators they were making a speedy indication sound. i got home and checked the indicators, again still making the speedy indication noise however the indicator lights themselves were staying on instead of flashing as normal.

anybody any suggests as to what exactly could be the problem and could it be linked to the cold weather?

A bad earth maybe?

Mine did the same thing tonight. Hazards seem ok but the interior lights only came on when I turned the ignition on.
