nor would they have an impact on dads mv augusta f4 senna

Oh, but one point - they could have a very major impact on one of them and the car driver would (in all probability) walk away.

Yes I was as it happenned' date=' so that might be it.

Although slipstream effect didnt help me when I tried to race a 4.4 litre X5 in the Golf, that thing just left me standing [/quote']

You'd get him on the twisties, though :D:D

Its worksafe, jusssssssssssst

its kindly pointed out to me at every possible opertunity that in real terms the vrs is very slow' date=' the m3 isnt that fast and evos and the likes are just 2ltr saloons, even the mcclaren f1 doesnt stand a chance quarter mile against a CBR 600 nor would they have an impact on dads mv augusta f4 senna so lets just forget this my slow cars faster than your slow car and live safe in the knowledge that you get 40 mpg even when driving the car relativly hard.

If you want fast buy a bike thats my opinion.[/quote']

Hate to pee on your fire but a Macca F1 would easily do a CBR600 maybe not a GSXR1000 but a 600 no problem, How do I know this ? Well I raced a Porsche Carrera 2 Turbo from about 40 to 140 (On a private road) and I only just got past it on a ZXR600 Nina which is quicker than a CBR600. The Macca F1 IS quicker than a Porsche Carrera 2 Turbo as well.

for your viewing pleasure :D

CBR600RR 10.73 @ 129.7

McLaren F1

Quarter Mile: 11.6 sec @ 125 mph

Hold on you said CBR600 not the RR the RR is alot different, stop changing the goal posts

Mike Jay...

As much as it would seem nice to think a Fabia vRS could beat an M3, it cannot. On a twist it could, but the M3 has almost three times the power of a vRS. I've taken on a 2004 M3, and the only reason I won was because we were racing on a semi-busy highway, and I got to the spot first (we were both headed the same direction)...if the highway was empty I wouldn't have even thought of it...

And like the dude said on that scooby site, the M3 isn't that fast. At least the current one. I've seen it get raped by 645Ci, mercilessly. However, there is a new 335Ci that will be coming out, that will have just a little less power than the current M3, and the new M3 will have a 4-litre V8 holding over 450BHP.

We bought vRS's not because they're the fastest cars for the money - you can easily pick up a brand new 182 cup for less from a main dealer - I was offered one without haggling for 10999 - we bought our Furbys because the performance is effortless and the mpg is good.

What I like is that at 3k rpm my car is one of the quickest out there - under normal driving there's very little will beat it, this is why it's such a good everyday car. If an M3 or even a Saxo can beat me at 7000rpm I don't care - it's not really a viable comparison. Let's see what happens at 1/2 throttle :)

In my haste i forgot to put RR, its still a cbr 600 though!!!!
