Actually, they're more than likely made by a decent manufacturer - a lot of wheels are, especially VAG cars, made by the likes of Ronal etc. Plus you always pay over the odds from a stealer etc but OEM wheels are likely to be of better quality than something for £300 at Halfords.

Finally added my summer wheels , with the oh so last year black refurb and green alloygators. Personally have to admit two things , was hoping the alloy gators were a closer colour to the green on the calipers ....They are not and secondly jury is still out if i have made the right choices .....even so its slowly starting to grow on me ( maybe my inner chav is showing ) . Also looks like i'll have to change the caliper colour for a good match .

I bought some of those for my wifes suzuki swift, altho she went for whites ones, i was told by the fitter that there the second gen which are much better than the first.... improvments to the way they join together or summin.

Any hoot she likes them and they have saved us some money in referbs lol im considering getting some for my vrs (once i either get new wheels or get my neptunes reconed and sprayed) in red to match my calipers lol i let you know hoe i get on with the color match should i go through with it

Good luck with the matching , as you see from mine, missed it by a mile. If my car had the red calipers would have got the red alloygators. Found the Neptunes a lot heavier than most of the good replacement alloy wheels.

Still the best looking alloy I've found to date (IMO, of course!) but they don't make them in 18", which I'd rather have.

Im still finding it bloody hard to pick a set, every time i think im there i see summin else

so far ive found my self liking all kind of stuff... 3sdm 0.01, finichi maranello, fox racing fx004 to name a few... not to mention a half dozen more expensive sets from bbs etc

It was easy back in the day, i wanted wheels...went to south coast wheels with £300 only 2 sets i could afford :evil: set 1 looked better than set 2.... so i bought set 1 simples

Tsw galvez are in 18", but they don't make them to fit the octy.

I'm baffled as to why there are several 'chav' comments about these wheels. I think they look sporty, but not over the top at all! The kind of remind me of the new-ish Nissan alloys, frequently found on top end Qashqais.

As for me being a chav - perhaps. I'm a 30-something father, married, lecture at a university and listen to heavy metal. Perhaps an archetype chav to some of you?!

First ones are OK, second are definitely chavvy and the third ones are like the just-too-chavvy-for-an-Audi option on the RS3.

I'm not a fan of your preferred ones, but who am I to talk as I have Team Dynamics wheels on my cars (OK 2 are over 10 yrs old and one of them's a track day boy racer special). It can make sense if you want to run a second set for winter (or track) use, but just make sure you tell your insurer.
