Columbus Bluetooth Question

Featured Replies

Morning Gents and Gentetts

I just picked up my new car on Saturday and I'm already missing my parrot kit.

The car has a Bolero as standard, I know what I need to do to add bluetooth to that, 7P6/5N0 unit plus loom ect.

My question is, If instead of spending £200 on that, I spend £400 on a Columbus unit, will it have bluetooth built in, or will I still require BT interface in addition.

Cheers Gents,

Collard

Columbus does not have bluetooth built in - you will still need the separate modules I'm afraid

I thought that was the case, although the seller of the unit claims that it has BT. You'd think people would know about what they're selling wouldn't you? I suppose if he didn't know that the BT units use a separate interface when he stole it..........

6P7 it is then.

Thanks Berniebloke.

yes! 7P6 is what I meant.

I think I read your contributions on a previous thread Mike, from that and others I think what I'm wanting is a 5K0 D or later and to that end I've bought a 5K0 E with loom and mic from Ebay this afternoon.

I'll let you know how I get on fitting it, but i've done parrots before so I hope it shouldn't be too big and issue.
