Don't need photos before hand; there are plenty of my dirty car around!

Haven't had time to take any "clean" ones!

Tar-like spots in winter are apparently caused by the molasses that the highway authorities add to the salt mix that they spread on the roads. The molasses helps the salt to stick to the road.

They will know Geoff Loynes who fires on the Talyllyn and is currently working the next 'box down from me.

Being involved with the railway is rubbing off on you Graham, just because you see all the filthy rolling stock passing by your workplace dosn't give you an excuse to follow their practice. Put them to shame and have a gleaming car on display

Jon, no the problem is a near 100 mile commute each day over grotty country roads.

If I wanted to keep it clean I'd need to do it every day!

That is very unlikely!!

Yes I know what you are saying Graham, for weeks we had all the mud and wet stuff mucking up the cars and now the dry weather is throwing up dust and dry rock salt everywhere. The Rosso Brunello knows how to show dust in a very special way and soon begins to look like a Cappuccino colour, perhaps I should have listened to the other half and gone for this colour instead
