I thinking about buying a vrs octy mk1reg noM80KLY when i do check on reg it comes back as a 2001 tdi ambiant 1781 petrol any idea why as it is a vrs

Any help on this matter would be greatly appreciated

Funny that mine was same when i first got it and had been like that since new, it only had one previous owner and they never bothered to change it until they decided to sell it.

It was registered wrong from dealers from new, it does happen

This can happen but ive never come across it, have you raised this issue with the sellers? They may have to write to the DVLA to get this corrected and tbh i wouldt buy it till it is corrected
