  • You only need the front bumper, the rear one is exactly the same apart from the exhaust cut out, a 2 minute job with a saw lol Sent from my GT-I9300 using Tapatalk 2

Cant help you at all with that list of stuff, however, if you are interested, i am selling a set of injectors from a 110 asv engine which will go straight into your new car. See parts for sale section

  • are they the same colour as the tdi?

Around 60-90mins i would say!

Rather easy job cant go wrong really

One big tip: Get a good set of locking pliers/vice grips. Took me half an hour to work out I needed to use them to remove the intercooler pipe from the EGR pipe.

Its quite surprising how far the clips fly if they escape from pliers...

Going to have a look at my EGR this week, i will let you no how bad it is lol

What is the elephant mod? how hard is it to blank the EGR? blanked the EGR on my old 2.8 tdi shogun was p*ss easy.

Marko

A set of socket drive allen keys can help too.

The elephant mod is basically redirecting the crank case breather the to the atmosphere. In an ideal world you would fit a catch can and plumb the air back into the air intake after the MAF. However I am tight, so I just blocked off the hole in the air intake, and vent it. Not sure what the current MOT rules will think of it - it has passed like that for the last 3 years though.

I used this plate and gasket to blank off my EGR

It fits in just above the turbo assembly:

Then I blocked off the the EGR value:

and the other end of the pipe (and secured it out of the way):

For the Crank Case Breather (play spot the washing machine waste pipe):

You sure Jase? My one would not budge in the slightest, it was ridiculously tight.

I use these for those horrible clips:

Yeah defo mate

Just prise clip out and pull intercooler pipework! Done it too many times to remember

Edit just had a look seems the old tdi non pd's have those crappy tension clips!

Newer pd's have the clip and lug system

You can just see it on mine here near the coolant reservoir
