Which dampers will go best with Eibach springs

Featured Replies

On my last VRS i ran eibach's with new oem shocks and to be honest i thought the ride was fine, however on my current VRS i took the plunge and matched a set of eibach's with B8's. The difference is like night and day, the B8's really are that good. I know they are a little more expensive but if the car's a keeper....................

Bonesetter echoed that comment re. the Bilstein B8s: he fitted them with KW springs.

Given labour costs are pretty finite for ripping 4 corners off and reassembling, assess the state of the current Eibachs. If paint/coating is cracked and they're starting to rust, maybe go for new springs plus the new dampers.

OTOH there's been some chat about AP spring/damper setup (£230) . A couple of members plus Damian at DPM Performance may be able to advise.

Reviving an old thread.

Still looking to upgrade shock absorbers for my vRS.

Any feedback on other kits including the AP kit would be appreciated.

Thanks

I went for a ST fixed height springs and dampers kit, made by KW.

I'm really pleased with it, much better handling and still comfortable on poorer road surfaces.
