Has anybody actually put 35 profile rubber on their 17-inchers here ?

Really happy with the wet and dry grip of my PS3s.

Haven't got any wheelspin at all in any conditions so far.

Maybe I'm driving too slow??

Stiffer sidewalls would have been nicer but my car is heavier

than the vRS.

well, after a positive blast home this morning in my car, I can honestly say my old wheels and maxxis tyres have tranformed the understeery hell of dunlops back into a grippy fun pointy car again! sweet

I wish I'd stuck with 205/40/17s, as the 215s seem to have confused the calibration on the maxidot - mpg figures aren't appearing what they used to be, and I wouldn't have thought that would just be down to the slight extra drag of the wider tyre

Never noticed a difference on mine although im not one for MPG watching tbh. The tyre calculator reckons there is 1.39 % difference in rolling circumference which is practically nothing, so i dont think size could be it. Could be weather or as you say the grip levels decreasing the MPG.

why thankyou sir I had the hatch first time, it was second on the list of cars I wanted to see (to buy!) that day, my first one was an estate , but it had gone....
