thanks Sam, I really like the looks, black with the black wheels and new black front end look good (and black badges!) I like the roof rails too.. adds to the look I hope its as good too, my current one is the best car I've owned, I may well keep this one 5 years, by which time there should be some big discounts on the second generation fabia vRS I have the eibachs going on, I've decided not to tune the engine in the interests of longivety, maybe a new set of dampers to match the springs at some point, and some bigger brakes.... maybe a RARB, just a few tweaks to make it more fun on the track.

edit: only downside is it has the dunlops on... but then Damo really liked them, I'll see what they run like in the summer before I put winters on, If I don't like them, I'll ebay them and buy some more maxxis Z1's! lol..

oh, another thing I may do is remove the "skoda" and "fabia" badges off the back, much bigger and more ungainly than the badges on my old one :( not sure about the vRS badge on the back, may go for a clean non-shouty rear ebd

aslo just asked for available registrations, VRS would be cool (but unlikley) FRI for friday 13th or BFN which would match Ash's citygo

anyway, just been to the dealers to sign everything, its now officially mine, registered (couldnt get a cool reg, only boring ones available, ends in VZT) , and booked in for the springs on saturday, and the superguard on monday and tuesday, so going for pickup on tuesday checked the options, and all are present and correct, PDI has been done already, and the loan looks ok at 7% from barclays, apparently I have "pretty good" credit, which suprises me for all sorts of resons! lol.. however I havent missed a car payment in about 10 years, so that probably helps... I have used "voluntary termnation" before though, but apparently that doesn't give you a black mark

all good! cant wait now, getting excited!

7% with bank is quite high...

its with barclays car finance..... its about the same as I have on my current car, and I'm happy enough with that...

I detailed a Black and White Montecarlo last weekend..New badges looked good

Only saying as Skoda finance is very competitive and got mine with free servicing at 4%.

Still, if you are happy that's all that matters.

Black estate looks very nice mate. Agree with what you are saying re the badges. The new arrangement with 3 at the back - skoda, Fabia and vRS looks very naff imho. The original 2-badge setup looks waaay smarter/neater.

All black is the only way to go Well chosen, car looks stunning. I couldn't stomach estate Fabia initially but all black looks really samrt and bad a$$. Remember to change your brake fluid before 1june!
