Big turbo Mk2 TDi vRS rep (07.01.17 update)

I've enjoyed the progress. How does the new exhaust sound?

Not a great deal of difference really with it being a common rail diesel, they've put a much smaller back box on than the original which I'll endeavour to photograph tomorrow

I went expecting to pay about £160 for the twin outlet and the pipe from that to the box, being the estate, but the total was a very reasonable (IMO) £200 including the back box

All stainless parts and welds carry a lifetime warranty too :-)

  • Back in January 2015 I bought a 2.0 CR turbo after reading the Yeti Greenline big turbo build, and proceeded to get a quote from Shark Performance for fitting, but up until now didn't have the bottle

  • The monster is dead, and is now back to plain white, and with the anthracite TDs replaced by a set of white vRS Gigaros   I know they'll be a pain to keep clean, but I definitely prefer the look

That's very reasonable :) certainly completes the look

A few extra shots of the exhaust........welding leaves a bit to be desired, but it has a lifetime warranty, and I can't see it when I'm driving :)

Gonna have your work cut out keeping your pipes clean!

Looks good.

Looking good, Brimma, although see what you mean about the bits you can't see.

Cheers :)

Some of the welding on the Milltek on the Octavia isn't a massive amount better

Do you think some High Temperature paint would help Bryan?

Quite possibly but I'd need to mask off the lovely shiny box well

What if you brush it on?

What if you brush it on?

I'd have to clean a brush ;)

Again, not really sat down properly and thought about it, Chris, but Halfords might be getting a visit soon

Loving the car and a great build thread. On my fabia I painted the stock exhaust with heat temp paint front to back. I also painted the tips to give a subtler look. I am personally not a fan of highly polished looking pipes.

Gives an idea

Thanks for the comments :)

Each to their own, but for me it would have defeated the object of doing it in the first place :)

And the new wheels are where exactly?

And the new wheels are where exactly?

Currently sat in the garage, debating whether or not I can get down to the tyre fitters before this afternoon :)

Rearrange this for some really helpful advice:

Your fat lazy arse do it and get off

Totally uncalled for

:P

And then post some pictures! Really looking forward to seeing this. I drove passed the WAVE this afternoon and you were still there. I would have popped in but Mrs T was with me.

Looks nice that does!

Current front and back view after the WAVE meet at Waddington

Smart. Why Skoda never offered a TDi Mk2 I'll never know....
