Just read the whole thread; love the vRS diesel look!

Thanks, glad you like it  :)

Where was this taken? The water tower narrows it down but I can't quite place it.

It's the water tower at Bracebridge Heath

  • Back in January 2015 I bought a 2.0 CR turbo after reading the Yeti Greenline big turbo build, and proceeded to get a quote from Shark Performance for fitting, but up until now didn't have the bottle

  • The monster is dead, and is now back to plain white, and with the anthracite TDs replaced by a set of white vRS Gigaros   I know they'll be a pain to keep clean, but I definitely prefer the look

Surprised you haven't seen Mrs T driving our quite conspicuous vRS then; she works at Waddington and drives past you twice a day.

I like to go under the radar  ;)

Just read through the thread from start to finish.

Looks lovely. It really does. Keep up the good work :).

Ps. I was slightly relieved when those monster stickers came back off ;) haha.

I like to think of that just as a short-term period of madness

Just had a read. Great work.

Couple of points - erm... how much were the White VRs rims? My Monte is crying out for some! and also if you want another opinion for the pot - I've never had any issues with my "black" OEM headlights. It would finish your front end off nicely IMO.

Thanks for sharing your great work.

Thanks

Wheels were swapped with the Pro Race 1.2s I had, so no cost involved on my part

Still not sure whether or not I want the hassle and costs of the black headlights

Just read this from the start - the joys of skiving off work  :D  Top job Brim.........

...... however I did raise the eyebrows when Monster decals started to appear   :o but now that you've seen the light it really does look fantastic

As a side note: the wing mirrors, I know they're only standard but I prefer the half and half look to the full gloss black mirrors

Cheers - I have now realised less is more (the JPS won't be changing though)

One of a pair of gas bonnet struts

Looks great!

Any reason why you changed the badge? The mk3 octavia one looks better IMO. I keep meaning to buy one for the rear of my Fabia but I bet they are expensive :(

The badge on the tailgate now matches the one on the front grille  :)

I've now decided that the Milotec rear diffuser just wouldn't cut the mustard for the OEM look, so I recently invested in the proper Skoda part at great expense

Fitting requires three holes to be drilled on the bumper, plus a cutout for the exhaust surround - I am indebted to Matt (Wakey) for sending me images of a new bumper he was about to fit to give me an indication where the holes needed to be

So, having paid a visit to Screwfix to buy the tools to butcher the bumper, here is the diffuser on a trial fit

Nice touch. Suits it well.

Looking forward to seeing this next week

I enjoy your regular appreciation, Charlie

I've enjoyed the progress. How does the new exhaust sound?
