skoda fabia 1.4 16v steering problem

Featured Replies

Hi all I have a steering problem I'm getting no where fast with.

My car pulls to the left after having

New front tyres

New console Bush

New track rod end

Tracking is perfect

Any ideas?

Car doesn't pull under braking

Also it seems to struggle up hill making a spluttering sound, kind of tappety?

Clutch is almost gone which wont help

thanks, aaron

I'll leave others to comment on the pulling to the left, but, are you sure that the noise that you are hearing is not pinking? Does the car use quite a bit of engine oil?

My 1.2 12v pinks quite a bit if I drive it lazy and don't stir the gears.

Doesn't use a terrific amount of oil it only looses oil through the sump slightly

And with regards to pinking I'm unsure as it returns an awesome fuel rate 150miles on £20 shell unleaded fuel save

What do mean by stirring the gears?

What do mean by stirring the gears?

 Just using them properly instead of leaving it in 5th around town. It's a bad habit I developed whilst owning an automatic Ford Scorpio.

With the clutch being made of thin air I struggle to keep it in 4th as its causing a judder on the gear stick when accelerating however it's intermittent and it has to be 3rd or 5th in most places!

So clutch has been done, still judders in 4th gear, still pulls left on its own and pinks under load.. any ideas?
