PESSIMIST!  :P

My only prep will be a likely air filter wash & reoil at Pete's on Monday.

I've just swoped wheels around so running less tread on front for F 1 style corner speeds!

Rear view mirrors will be cleaned on the Tuesday morning .

Looking fwd to meeting everyone.

You can be reunited with your old wheels. ;)  I might rent them out to you!  :P

Will be good to see my old wheels! Did you fit new v70s ? They will be Awsome if you have. Weather looking dry and temps of 18 degrees forecast !!

Would love to hire the wheels for a session but I'm too lazy to be swooping wheels over.

I've had to buy one new pair.  One pair are still ones from when you sold me the wheels :D

Jason, are you bringing a jack?

I might try to bring one. This is my last trackday of the year and I'm gonna refit the spiders.

I was hoping James was going to bring some gear - he hinted at this earlier in the thread, as I am planning on "travelling light" in respect of wheel changing gear....  :D

I can bring a trolley jack and axle stands no problem.

Instructor list updated.

So now bossfox is out does that mean we have 9 drivers for tuition?

Track time is 9 till 5. Guessing hour for lunch? So 7 hours track time.

If we do 20 min tuition that's 3 an hour. So I recon we'll get about 2 slots each. Or should we say less per slot?

My car won't do more than 15 minutes before needing to cool down a bit :D   Especially if the day is relatively warm anyway.

No good if you entered a 24 hr race then lol!

It would need some serious cooling fettling to be able to do much longer stints - or I would simply have to drive slower....  It's usually the coolant which starts to get too hot first, so perhaps a bigger radiator would be needed.  I've not found the point my new brakes start to fade yet though - they've not done an open pit day yet, and I am using RTF600 fluid which I hope means they will be long lasting under duress.

I'm always amazed how cars can run flat out for a 24 hr race. I mean normal tuned road cars not Audi R15's . Watched two of those new peugout 308 gti's finish this years nurburgring 24 hrs which was clever seeing as the French made them.

I will throw a jack and some stands in, torque wrench, sockets set and a few odds and sods too.

With regard to tuition, my lad has now backed out because of education commitments, so one less to worry about.

I will ring Javelin today as I haven't heard or had confirmation on tuition yet either  :wonder:

So to some up. weather is looking good, we are fettling our cars, we know where the venue is, all we have to do now is get there!

I think you will need to produce your driving licence too, so don't forget it.

I was hoping for a bit of rain! lol...

my prep will be... er... nothing! I might check the oil......

As i booked over the phone i have no login for the online bit so u have no documents at all...? :-/

nope

I've got emails confirming my booking and payment but nothing else

I was expecting a least a few forms to fill in beforehand - like the ones MSV send out before How Fast - but apparently there is nothing or if there is it's all sorted out on the day

My last Javelin day I did get forms through to fill in for both driver and passenger, as well as a timetable and specific info for the day.

I can post the forms on here if anyone wants some? Or may be better to wait?
