Just fill the forms in on the morning of sign on. Only takes a couple of mins . They will have plenty of forms ready for us less organised folk.

No email here :(

Good idea to fit ones towing eye too. Sometimes they won't let you out without it. Always forget about this. Lol

The towing eye must be fitted - let's hope I don't have to connect it to anything !

awww.. I was so close timing wise. Would of been great laugh to get the citigo around oulton. Alas it won't be here in time.

Have a great day! Jason, don't worry about open pit, it's more fun and relaxing to be honest. If anything, I found I did less time though. Beware the trap of talking in paddock area ;)

Oh, I prefer open pit for sure.  Both my Cadwell Park days were open - works well. :)

Would have loved to get the car to this, so much so I would even have chanced turning up on the day and begging Oliverstyle to gain track time.

"Please sir can I ......etc etc"

Out of the country with work but leaves me very motivated to get ready for the 2014 Spring Action Day

I am sure there will be more track days before Spring, we have Blyton Park, Anglesey, How Fast at Bedford and Castle Combe to look forward too.

If anybody is planning on doing a track day, post up I am sure there will be a few who would join you.

This weekend will see the final fitting of bucket seats, lower the front end a bit, solder resistors into the missing airbag loom and wire my Black Vue into the car, then we are ready for Tuesday.  only four more sleeps

James, can you post up or PM me details, I thought this was an end of season event at Oulton pretty much.

Thanks

Mark

Mark, I am hoping to do another Oulton Park before Xmas, prices drop to about £99 on MSV, I haven't made a final decision on dates yet but am looking at first week of December or last week of November, I will start another thread after Tuesday when everybody has the bug!!

How Fast is usually organised by PastyBoy, this is around June iirc, it is also one of the best meets I have been to as there is a real buzz because we were all against the clock!

Devonutopia will organise the Castle Combe events.

As for Anglesey or Blyton Park, just pick your dates I will probably go if the dates are not too close to other events.

I could do with revisiting Cadwell again this winter. :D

However the last three times I have gone, two have been called off due to snow/ice....  Would be nice to go there when it wasn't too cold or treacherous. :D

I'd like to go back to angelsey. Not been since they changed it.

Maybe look at a track event every other month?

Anglesey would be good in winter as it is coastal so should just be wet or windy.  We could discuss it at Oulton Park on Tuesday.

Keep me posted, dates allowing I'd come along

There's people on Twitter saying two bikers have been killed on a trackday at Oulton today. Two air ambulances and circuit closed. No death has been confirmed but can't be good if they closed it. :(

According to No Limits, one confirmed fatal and 2 still critical. (This is quoted as coming from their Facebook page)

RIP and Get well soon to the others.

No word that I can find on whether the circuit will be open, though that's not the major concern.

Sad news indeed, but they were on bikes and we will be in cars so should be a lot safer.

In all the years Oulton Park has been a circuit there have been a lot of people killed, the chicane at Knickerbrook is a result of too many fatalities as the original corner was off camber and taken flat out, if you got it wrong you hit the bank as run off is minimal..

We will all be safe and as we have front wheel drive cars we should experience understeer as a first sign if trying too hard!

As above^^ All motor sport can be dangerous especially on bikes. I found this out on a R1 at Cascades and spent a few weeks in hospital and numerous opps to fix things.

Not long now guys and girls!!   only two more sleeps

Just finished swapping out my seats and installing the buckets, tomorrow night will be the load up of a few tools and some axle stands and of course the Jack.

For those of you travelling tomorrow from afar, have a safe trip and I will see you bright and early on Tuesday morning.

Getting excited now :)

Plan for the weekend was to change the brake fluid. That didn't happen lol. Might have time tomorrow after work.

My plans are to load up my wheels after removing the back seats and parcel shelf. Make sure I have my helmet.

Then fuel up!

Think an oil change may be in order done 3 track events since Feb when the oil was last changed.

on my way to skuds!

see you in 3.5 hours mate!
