Ive just checked them out, i could buy a whole set of front AND rear discs AND pads for the price of front ferodo 2500 pads :(

 

Cheaper than a new front end, or worse still a new car.

I have reviewed my DR400G footage and it looks like I had it angled too close to the dash.  Only half the windscreen is in shot LOL.

 

Anyway, looks like going on a couple of sessions my best lap is 2:13 when not pulling over, or being held up a bit.  Happy enough with that but wish I could have had a full day to learn the circuit better and try and put the instructor training to use.

Now we have all settled down after Oulton Park, what, when and where are we doing next?

 

 I see there is another at Oulton Park on 28th December, would break up Christmas nicely. Anglesey, Blyton, Cadwell maybe even Elvington as I have never done an airfield track day.

First one doesnt have any of you I dont think, but has me following Dan in the silver 25 round for 10 minutes (I was on normal road tyres at this point which felt weird). Interesting bit tho is near the end. The megane I let between us throws it into the scenery!

This has a fair few skodas in it. Guy in the black fabia hatch seemed pretty good, who was it? Loved the Fabia estate!

We speculated what kind of power they must be running and rounded to about 250 but 305 as per your signature is even more scary!!

Hoping the Golf will be 350+ by next spring through AWD should be a well set car for the track.  Had no idea the Rover was 1.4  impressive as is the overlay of dials on the video, how do you do that then?

250 is actually pretty close, how did you figure that out?!? On the boost I was running it was indeed 240-245bhp.

And it is a 2.0 really, the car just started life as a 1.4!

 

The overlays are done with info from the ECU log and racerender2.

Great shots there flanders, some action too, an old Golf passing a Fabia      In fairness Cliff was leaving the pit lane and I was on a flyer after removing the ABS fuse..

That magane got some serious air, I thought he was going in the tyres. Then he landed and was pointing at me! (hence my trip to the inside). Was stuffed as the best option was to accelerate but i was so off boost I was going nowhere!

Looks like you all had a good day. Very much looking forward to getting back on track at Combe in April now that (touch wood) the injector/fuelling issues are sorted with the vRoomster.

That sort of thing needs deciding face to face in the pits before heading out    With the rule about letting quicker cars past, I was also very keen to move out the way of anything quick.

Yeah I did walk to a fair few places. Not often I take photos there usually on track. I just need a longer lense as they are all taken with a 55mm lense!!
