So if my dealer can't give me a build week I can just ring SUK customer services and they'll be able to tell the status of my order?

Mine was built week 33. My dealer tells me that it has reach the Harbor here in Sweden att the End offf last Week. But still no transport date from the harbor to the dealer. Three weeks delivery time is almost due. Guess I have to aim for four weeks delivery time. I'm getting really frustrated thou. please ease my pain, pet my head and say it's gonna be alright :-D

I placed my order for a Candy White vRS Estate (2.0 CR TDI, Amundsen, Black design pack, Bluetooth+, Sunset Glass, Winter Pack, Canton Sound System) on 27th July and build is due week 37, that's next week, some 4 weeks earlier than I was expecting!

On that basis, I'm expecting delivery to be early to mid October..... WOOP!

Happy days. I placed my order on the same date 27th July (vrs estate tdi) and was given a build date of week 40. I hope this means mine will be brought forward also. I haven't heard anything from the dealer yet, ill give them a ring in the morning for a progress report.

Ringing them this afternoon. Will update when I can bud!

U heard anything yet mate?

Fingers crossed for you Shane!  I just tend to think that "it'll be here, when it's here".  But having handed the Yeti back a few weeks ago, I'm starting to miss having my own car.  Luckily, I work from home and have use of SWMBO's new Fiat 500 Twinair, which is no real hardship,  apart from last weekend when I bought a new 50" telly and Annabel thought that the box might just fit in the 500 "with the seats down".  Suffice to say, we didn't even try!

Mine also was built in week 33 but not delivered to the dealer as yet. Sent them an email today asking for an update but no reply as yet. Very frustrating but as I ordered late June another week isn't going to be that bad (hopefully)

I ordered an octavia racing green VRS on the 13th August 2013 at Lookers Stockport.  They could not have been more friendly or accommodating.  Today I have been given a status 10 with a provisional build date of week 46.  Fingers crossed I will see this early Jan 2014.

Hi Nobby,

I presume it's a hatch you've ordered? I got a status 10 yesterday from Skoda UK. Provisional build week ATM is 42, however that'll defintely change as production on the hatches doesn't begin until wk45.

So if my dealer can't give me a build week I can just ring SUK customer services and they'll be able to tell the status of my order?

Good question, it had never crossed my mind to call SUK direct. Anyone have an answer?

Yep I spoke to SUK yesterday and they were 10x more helpful than my dealership. Told me what my current build week is and that it is expected to change.

He said always speak to SUK rather than the dealerships as thats the only place you'll get factual info from rather than speculative guesses.

Do I need an order number or can I give my name / address / details? - dealer said they have an order number but I need to get them to email it to me

I just gave my name and address and they managed to get my details. Ask for an SLI no. when you're on to them for future ref

Right. Rang UK customer service number from the website. They said that seeing as I only ordered my car a week ago they can't give me a build date yet (which is confusing as others who ordered around the same date seem to have theirs?)

They said I need to call back within about a month and by then they think they should have a build date.

They did give me the order number which is handy.

I'm starting to get cold feet now, I don't really want to order a car which is constantly delayed - the idea was to be in something that was saving me money on fuel and running costs (Whilst having a bit of a fun edge) - that's not going to be much good if it doesn't turn up till March :S - Maybe leave it a few weeks and check back again....

Same here on the cold feet. Think I'm just gonna stick with it tho as it'll be a nice present early next year. Hopefully my current car lasts until then lol

I was told to call back during the first week of November by which point they should be able to tell me more.

Hmmmmmm.....

Ordered my car on the 5th of August, emailed the dealer twice in the last week about a build week and heard nothing so rang SUK just after 9am, the lady I spoke said the relevant people at SUK didn't start til 9:30 so she took my details and said she'd ring me back with a build week as soon as she had the info.......

Now 10 minutes ago i got a reply from my dealer saying my car is being built this week..... that's only 4 weeks since I ordered it (vrs diesel estate with several options)..... somehow i just don't believe that it's being built so soon.....

Will wait to see what SUK say....

It could be true, there are other stories on the forum of people getting equally quick build dates, you might just be lucky. If it is I'm jealous as I ordered my Elegance hatch on 1st August and my most recent provisional date is week 41. :(

I ordered my petrol vRS estate on 2nd Sept. Dealer just called with a build week of 13th Jan 2014! That means I won't get the car until Feb 2014. I'm patient but 6 months!

The 14 plates come out 1st March - might as well wait a few more weeks for that.

I think a lot of it also depends on what extras you have ordered. The guy I spoke to at SUK yesterday said that they won't even begin a build until every single part / extra they need is in the building so they can get it all done within 23hrs.

My dealer just told me week 2. But it will jump forward to this year which it had better do cos I've just given him the dvla paperwork for a 63 number plate.

SUK just called back and my car is being built week 37 which is next week so the dealer wasn't far off, i'll give him the benefit of the doubt as he may have old information :)

Have spoken to both SUK and my dealer about my vRS hatch.

Dealer says, week 3 build, 01MAR delivery, but build week should come back into 2013. Apparently a completely stock vRS Hatch, no extras, that they have ordered. has gone status 20, with a build week of 43. Not entirely sure how accurate that is. However, they are talking about depreciating the value of my PX Fabia at £25 a week until I Get the vRS. Which could knock more than 2/3 of the value of The fabia. Don't really understand why I have to pay 100 a month to drive my own car cos they can't deliver the vRS when they said they would? Any thoughts?

SUK says, week 3 build at the moment. Expecting a late November/early December build in real terms with a jan/feb delivery. Apparently dealers have known since may about the hatch production plans. And was dismayed as to why I was originally told week 45, 01dec delivery.

I decided to follow everyone's lead and call SUK for the definitive response. Turned out my car has a week 51 build so perhaps my dealer meant delivery in Jan, not build week in Jan. A simple mis-understanding.

As with others, I'm told that all of this is subject to change in both directions but a 4 month wait is much more palatable than 6.

Ordered a a 1.4 TSI Elegance hatch in Plat. Grey at July 15.

Dealer said the color might be going out of production so I specified Lava blue as "in case" color so they wouldn't have to get back to me and then back to Skoda again if I had to change the color.

I've e-mailed them for a provisional build week 3 weeks ago. All they would say was they'll know 3 weeks in advance.

Tried to e-mail them yestoday to make an educated guess. Haven't heard a peeb yet!

Patience is the name of the game I guess .... BUT I WANT MY NEW CAR *cry*.

Any Danes arround with updated info? :)
