Sun Shades

Recommended Posts

Currently my vRS has Sun Shades that are clipped into the rear door windows and these are great the the little one when it's sunny (a few days a year :giggle: ).

My new estate (whenever I finally get it) will have sunset glass from the B pillar, but does anybody know if the sun shades are transferable over or sun shades are available for the mkIII.

Are there genuine skoda sunshades available and if so has anyone fitted them?

Car is a lease vehicle so cant go down the tinted windows route but occasionally carry items of value in the back so want to make the interior less conspicuous to the average tealeaf

The sun shades that Ryan mentions are from this company http://www.privacy-shades.co.uk/carshades/#home I read somewhere that they actually supply a lot of the OEM blinds the dealers sell. No mention of Mk3 blinds yet, but it might be worth e-mailing them to see if they have a date for them.

I have a set for both my Mk2 Octavia and Fabia. They are very high quality and are a fantastic fit. Some people don't like the 2 piece rear blind as you get a join in the middle of the rear window, but I don't think it's a problem.

I bought mine from here http://www.uvcarshades.co.uk/shades-c-2729.html?gclid=CJKX76KWjLkCFXHMtAodL2UA7g

I contacted these people a month ago about blinds for a octavia 3 and they have no current plans to make any but to keep checking there website :-(

The more people that email them enquiring about the mk3 the more chance there is they will start making them.

Came across you old post, you still got the mk2, and shades. l need to get some for new mk 3 shortly. There are no mk3 to buy anywhere so worth trying your mk2 in my mk3? l travel the country so I've no probs. Then we can post for others.

I went to a car accessory shop looking for some sun shades for my new O3 hatch. The dealer was sorry of not having them yet for the O3, however, he had the genius idea of trying to fit the O2 rear sun shades and.... IT WORKED ! Actually only the largest piece (for the window) perfectly fits, only the shape of the smaller piece (the small lateral fix glass) has changed between the O2 and the new O3. So what I did is just tinting the small fix side glass and put O2 sun shades. That's it !

cool I am buying some from x-shades, it's practically impossible to get them over here in Oz, even if I do have to pay through the teeth for them. Thanks for the tip!

Will let you know when I fit them. Of course, they will probably get here before my car does... :-/

Meanwhile I've already got some X-sahdes. They look fine, qualitative and they worth. The team behind the site was serious and in 2-3 days after the order I've received the package.

There is some pictures, and I will put some other pictures after the installation (now it's raining).

And here are the pictures. I think they are the best I could chose. Sadly there are no rear shade for the hatch.

They fit exactly, the fitting solution with neodymium magnets is the best, and they make no parasite noise.
