What sort of money are we talking Steve? I've never been paid to come to a Pub before but I'm definitely up for it!!

Cars gone to get repaired today hopefully be sorted by the end of the month Stripped the parts off yesterday and saw the extent of the damage, good job I kept the speed down to just under 120 (parsecs) and only gave it a dozen or so full bore launches with the odd doughnut thrown in.

Car should be all mended by the previous weekend (27th 28th July) so won't have much chance to break it before this meet. as I'm going in the Skoda to Gaydon, though would consider jumping in with someone and share fuel costs for a change.

There is a very outside chance that I will make the MR2ROC run going from South Mimms this Saturday, if I do make it there, I will arrive just before the start, but other than that we are looking at the September meet. Did you check the torque on the rear suspension arm bolts?

I've got swmbo's permission to come. She might even join me!

(Big breath).....So,..(big sigh)..   the plan is to burn the midnight oil friday and most of the day saturday to get the kitcar back together and get to the meet in it this time. It will be literally straight from the workshop to the meet with no chance of hooning it and breaking it.there are a few if's and buts and maybe's which will be overcome. I am confident it'll be there.

 

.....goes off breaks mirror walks under a ladder and kicks a cat...(the latter isn't unlucky, I just don't like cats. )

BTW forgot to post up, image below of some serious chassis mods in progress as of yesterday. today all done and painted and awaiting my attention to put it together.

 

 

On a serious note, this is pretty much it in terms of getting the thing working properly, if its no closer to working properly after this weekend, then its goodbye car, as there is more to life than polishing a turd.
